This is a liquor that is quite yellow in color. It is not a modern type of sake. I think you can fully appreciate the acidity typical of Yamahai and the rice flavor of Honjozo.
If you warm it up, the lingering bitterness will shorten, and you can enjoy a fuller mid-palate.

It is soft on the palate, light and refreshing, but with a solid flavor.
There is a sweetness behind the spiciness.
The finish is crisp and clean, and goes away quickly.
This is a good sake to drink during meals, and a very good sake for everyday drinking!

I happened to come across this sake brewery, Fuji Takasago Shuzo, on a drive, and the shopkeeper recommended the Sunshu Nakaya Yamahai Honjozo Nama Genshu.
As the label on the bottle says, it's a "smooth, fluffy, and crisp" sake. This is delicious! We drank it up in no time at all. It's a sake I want to buy again.
