The second drink at my favorite yakitori restaurant is Gizaemon Aki by Wakabisu Shuzo.
Following the summer version, I was able to enjoy the autumn version as well.
Let's start with the aroma.
First, the aroma. The aroma is not so strong.
In the mouth, it has a complex flavor, but at the same time, it has a slightly old-fashioned sake feel to it, making it easy to drink.
It has a gentle bitterness and is light on the palate, giving it an overall sense of freshness.
It goes well with food and is good as a mealtime sake.
ma-ki-San, I'm with you 😃.
Gizaemon! We haven't had it yet 🥲 but I googled it and found out that there is a series of "Damon" from the Four Seasons 😳I want to conquer this kind of thing 😅I'll see if I can find a liquor store that sells it 🤗.
Jay & Nobby, thank you very much.
That's right ⤴️ we have sake for all four seasons here ⤴️
Sounds like Jay & Nobby's Izumo Fuji ✨.
I want to complete spring and winter too!
With pickled horse mackerel and simmered taro chicken.
It is easy to drink! The sweetness is not too strong, and in a good sense, it goes well with food without being assertive.
When I drank wine the other day, I could drink it so easily that I ended up opening almost a whole bottle, and I couldn't believe how much I ate with my appetite and how hungover I was the next day.
On the other hand, sake is heavy in taste, for better or worse, so you can savor it as you sip and savor it, and you can naturally control the pace and volume of your drinking and eating. I was able to save the amount of sake I drank by drinking only a small amount (in my case, one gou), which may or may not make me feel tipsy.
Once again, I felt the goodness of sake 🙏.
Firm taste
Sweetness, umami, and sourness all come together.
But the alcohol taste comes later, so it's not too strong.
Interesting that there are different types of yeast.
The second cup was Gizaemon.
This one is light and has a refreshing aftertaste.
I have had Gizaemon before, but I have an image that it tasted stronger when I had it before... 🤔 lol
