呑み助Kyokusho Junmai Ginjo Okayama Omachi
July 31, 2023
Crisp, acidic aroma with a hint of greenness. The palate begins with sweetness, and then thickens to a pleasant finish. It also has a sweet and sour aftertaste that leaves a good impression.
あかにゃんIt is a gift 🎁.
It comes in a paulownia wood box and the decoration is gorgeous and luxurious!
It's too good to drink normally.
Maybe I'll open it on a special occasion.
KRNIPurchased at Dokuhokan.
Omachi is Okayama Prefecture's sake rice, but does it taste different from sake made with Omachi from other prefectures? I thought so.
It is not as sweet as the Omachi sake I have had in the past, and I think it has less aroma and fruity taste.
Are most sake from Okayama Prefecture quite crisp?
It was different from what I imagined, but it was refreshing, easy to drink, and delicious.
Miyashita Sake Brewery's Dokuhokan is a 3-minute walk from Nishikawara Station, the next station to Okayama Station!
We went there to cool off as it was already too hot for outdoor sightseeing.
The restaurant serves sake, beer, gin, and whiskey.
We had a sake and beer comparison.
We didn't get to try the food because we had already eaten, but some of the dishes were made with beer and looked delicious.
We bought a bottle of gin and tonic at the store and had it on the bullet train on our way home.
Jacky W.Clean, medium aromatic intensity of rice, almond, vanilla, noted of cheese at higher temperature. Can feel sweet in month, smooth, medium bodied. medium+ flavor intensity of cheese, almond, kelp. Long finishing with rice acidity.

Purchased at the brewery
Strong sweetness ❗️ comparatively darker. Milkiness🐄.
Slightly cocoa-like, mellow ☕️ long aftertaste ^ ^.
I like this, delicious 😋.
There is a restaurant directly owned by this brewery and you can drink a lot of 🍶🍶🍶🍶 thanks.
It's awesome😍😍.
ひろかずIt was purchased at "Dokuhokan" in Okayama.
Perhaps because it was chilled, the aroma was subdued.
When you put it in your mouth, a moderate sweetness spreads, and it stays in your mouth long after you swallow it.
It is delicious!
Milan HauserI chose this bottle because it's made from flat polished rice and I wanted to try it.
Type: junmai ginjo, rice: Yamada Nishiki, polishing rate: 60%, alc.: 16%
I didn't get ginjo aroma. I got mild rice aroma, alcohol and just a hint of floral aroma.
Flavor starts mellow then dry finish with umami that resonates in the aftertaste.
I expected ginjo aroma and flavors and to my surprise I got somewhat traditional sake with rice flavors and dry finish. Very clean however, without any peculiarities
