Event. Sake Fair 2024. The character "zanshin" evokes the image of a powerful sake 🍶💪. Who wrote these characters? I asked him, and he said he is the head priest of a nearby temple 😄. It's a true local love ❤️ It is a sake. The color is clear. The taste is nutty 🥜 sweet. Mild on the palate. Little ginjo aroma. The sweetness continues until the aftertaste. Sake with a sweetness that seeps through.

I didn't go to the brewery, but I haven't seen Kyushu Chrysanthemum in Tokyo either, so this will be a first for me. The first aroma is sweet with a hint of acidity. In the mouth, there is a slight bitterness and a strong sweet umami taste that is typical of nama sake. This is a honjozo sake, but it is a very good sake that does not feel like it has been alkaloated. The price is also very reasonable at around 1,300 yen for a five-pack. In Tokyo, you only see gougo bottles of kenrishi or shochu 🤔. I wonder if it is more common in the west?

This is a new release from the sake brewery closest to my house. I was curious about this sake because it was made by locally grown Omachi, so I bought it. It's rather refreshing and a bit lacking in the traditional sake taste 🤔. I tried it warmed up on the instagram of the liquor store where I bought it, and it was great! The flavor opened up and it tasted great. I'm glad to see local sake trying different things 👍Thank you for the food 🙏.

Purchased at a liquor store near Kokura Station The label with a strong sense of specialness caught my attention. I left it at room temperature for about 5 months, missing the fact that it needed to be refrigerated. (immediately after opening the package) Drink it cold. Slightly yellowish but clear Strong aroma of maturity with sweetness. Sourness on the palate The palate is immediately filled with a richness and at the same time, a strong dryness appears. The aftertaste is medium. The aftertaste is surprisingly light. The rich taste is very tasty. Although it is rich, it goes well with sashimi.

Purchased at a liquor store near Kokura station that was recommended in a previous comment. The clerk recommended a special limited edition from a brewery that makes a sake called Kyusyu Kiku. (Just after opening the package) Drink cold Slightly yellowish and cloudy. Slightly sweet, with a sweet sake-like aroma. In the mouth, there is a strong rice flavor and a juicy acidity that quickly disappears. Later on, a strong dryness appears, accompanied by a kind of sizzling astringency. The aftertaste is short, and the aforementioned astringency remains slightly in the mouth. The astringent taste is quite refreshing in the mouth, so it goes well with salted squid, which has a strong taste, because the taste is not overpowered by the snacks at all. (5 days after opening) The astringency and dryness weaken, and as a result, the flavor of the rice can be felt more, resulting in a different taste than on the first day. Personally, I prefer this one.

This is a special limited edition sake from Kyushu Kiku. It is only available in limited quantities at this time of year and reservations are required. Local sake has to be meh! Open the bottle! It has a freshness that is milder and fresher than imagined. Surprisingly, it is more refreshing. It has the feeling of a raw sake that tingles in the throat, but at the same time, it blends in well. It's not bad. The lapel is a little tacky...I personally think it would be nice if they changed it on a spring evening.
