◎This sake is from Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture. As confirmed by the person I drank it with, it is Miyazaki, not Miyagi.
Since it is made from 100% rice grown in the prefecture, I thought it would have a strong rice taste before opening the bottle, but it was as fruity as the label implied, making it perfect for hanami (cherry blossom viewing).
I did not know about this sake, but I had the impression that it should be better known.
Good to see you here...!
A cup of tears.
The spiciness and umami flow with a silky texture.
The placement of the umami is good, and the aftertaste is refreshing.
Purchased at Sentoku Shuzo in Nobeoka. Although from Kyushu, the overall flavor was light and refreshing, like sake from Kochi, so I dared to choose a sake with a hint of sweetness, which I thought would add a sweet element to the sake. It did not betray my expectations, and the sake was refreshing with a hint of sweetness from the kasumi sake.
It is not a bad sake as a flavorful flirtation.
I have always loved prefectural antenna stores and tend to buy all sorts of things when I see them. This is a bottle I found in a corner of the Miyazaki Products Museum in Shinjuku's Southern Terrace.
The brewer, Sentoku Shuzo, is the only sake brewery in Miyazaki, the land of shochu. It has a beautiful appearance reminiscent of the tropical sea, and the taste is sweet and bitter like brown sugar, with a strong umami flavor that goes well with strong-flavored home cooking.
⚫︎Polishing ratio: 60
⚫︎ Alcohol content: 15
I saw my first "Sentoku" label at a sake store, so I bought it without hesitation!
I enjoy the guerrilla event-like experience of encountering the Sentoku series from time to time 👐.
When I opened the bottle and poured it, I found aromas of peaches, plums, and molasses.
The mouthfeel is light, with a sinking touch of juicy sweetness.
The palate is light on the palate, with a touch of juicy sweetness, followed by chestnut and grain-like flavors, and then a hard-edged umami of hot, sour, astringent, and pure crispness.
The first half is the same brewery's "Until the middle of a dream" series.
The second half is similar to the traditional "Sentoku" series.
The second half has a taste similar to the "Sentoku" series, and it tastes like an assortment of "Sentoku" wines!
If you notice, he is also in the top 10 of the top 10 of check-in brands.
We are very grateful for the opportunity to have a chance to meet this rare Miyazaki sake!
