I had a bottle of Kameizumi Junmai Ginjo CEL-24 Light Nigori.
Kameizumi CEL-24 has been my benchmark ever since I first had it as a sake beginner. Since it is a light nigori of that sake, I have been interested in it for a long time.
When I tried to get a hold of it, I could not find any stock at all, except for some evidence that it was sold at a few sake stores. I had given up on it when I found information that it was distributed only in Kochi Prefecture or produced in small quantities for restaurants, but the other day I found it for sale at Sakenomy. I bought it immediately. It may have been a special order production for Sakenomy because I did not see it on other liquor store e-commerce sites.
The long-awaited light nigori was even better than expected. There are many brands that change their character as soon as they become light nigori, but in the case of Kameizumi CEL-24, the sweet and fruity taste of clear sake is preserved, while the lactic acidity and complexity of light nigori are added. The pleasantly miscalculated slightly carbonated taste knocked me out with just one sip.
Sakenomy had it in stock for a while, but it seems that there is no more left. I wonder when I will be able to encounter it again. I will wait patiently.
I received a bottle of Kameizumi Junmai Ginjo CEL-24.
This is the sake I most wanted to try when I first started enjoying sake, and it is one of the bottles that I remember being shocked when I actually drank it. For me, it is like the origin of sake.
It has been more than a year since I last drank it, but one sip reminded me vividly of the impression I had then.
It still has the same pineapple feeling. It is so pineapple that it is hard to believe it is made from rice. If you drink it without knowing anything about it, at least no one will think it is sake. So if I ever have a chance to give sake to someone who doesn't drink sake, I will definitely choose this one.
After drinking about 200 bottles of sake so far, I think that the first drink is very important. As in all hobbies, the first one you encounter will stay in your memory forever and will continue to be the benchmark for everything you encounter after that. For me, I am glad it was this CEL-24 from Kameizumi.
I personally think this is one of the masterpieces in sake, including in terms of ease of purchase.
Kameizumi is often drunk at a standing drinking corner bar sold at an Ikari supermarket. As expected of an Ikari supermarket, it is chilled. Today's toast. The entrée was sashimi of squid and boiled crab. Oh, what's that? Was it this sweet? I think yesterday's dry sake was better for fish. We finished with one glass today. Next time, I'll try it with a hot pot.
Interesting!
It has a sharp yet pineapple feel to it.
I had an image of Kochi Prefecture's sake as dry, but it is totally different from that category.
I'm getting curious about Kochi Prefecture's sake. ......
The aroma is slightly pear-like and gorgeous.
It has a smooth and sweet taste, followed by a sharp acidity and a hint of bitterness.
The rice is delicious from the first sip.
It has a clean and crisp taste.
It has a coherent taste.
The degree of liking ☆4/5
It has a peachy aroma, a little sweetness, a touch of alcohol, and a slight sourness.
It is similar to the Shirofan Kuromatsu we had yesterday, but this one has a little more acidity.
