Creamy rice and banana on the nose. Soft, smooth, with some dairy notes like milk and yoghurt. Quite full and round on the palate. Smooth, yet with bold acidity. Apples, banana, yoghurt, chestnuts. Finish is medium, medium short. Nothing extravagant, but I really quite like this. 4/5

Bright, juicy and tropical on the nose. Aroma intensity is strong, full of sweet bubblegum and pineapple, lychee, apple. Very full and punchy on the palate. Quite sweet, with more fruit, but also a distinct creaminess. It reminds me of sweetened strawberry milk in its sweet, thick texture. Acid is pronounced but not too much so. Finish is medium, despite the full body and sweet profile. Good, but a little too full and sweet for me, even chilled like this. 3.25/5

Slight lemon green colour. Sweet, acidic aromas are quite powerful. Deep sweet flavours like plums and dried fruits, almost like white wine. Overripe banana, mature cheese. Palate is quite light at first, but slowly gets more full with rich umami notes. More cheese, nuts. Feels more like an aromatic junmai than a junmai ginjo. Could be good warm. 3.25/5 Bottled in 2022.02 but I think this is old sake. Downgraded to 2.75/5

Surprisingly ginjo-esque aromas for a junmai: lots of apple, some lighter bubblegum, cotton candy, before revealing pear, melon, and then some deep umami notes like meat stew and picked vegetables. The palate is medium-sweet, with a very prominent acidity that tingles the back of the mouth. Juicy mango and pineapple-like tropical flavours, but then again reveals a deeper umami and dry finish. Acid finish lingers for a medium-long finish. 4/5

Rich, sweet, acidic wine-like aromas. Raisins, dates, figs, dried fruits, some yoghurt or cream, mature cheese. Quite thick, and medium+ sweet profile. Nuts, cheese, dried fruits all come together in this palate. Chestnuts, butter, mature cheese again, with sweet raisins and dates too. Finish is actually quite short, and the acidity keeps this not so cloying. 3.5/5 chilled

Very simple and straightforward on the nose. Mostly steamed rice cereal, some banana, a faint hint of perhaps chestnuts? Very quiet and shy for a ginjo. Ripe banana is more pronounced on the palate, but the flavour profile is still rather simple and one dimensional. There is depth and fullness to the body. It's smooth, with good umami, but overall rather simple. Would say this is a good futsu-shu. 2.5/5 Warm: not that much different? I like kanzake so this is still better...3/5 Disappointing

Really fresh aromas: bright apple and banana, then some really creamy fresh cheese, a big helping of strawberry, with some milk and butter like dairy notes. Very light and clean on the palate compared to the nose. Don't light fruit at the beginning, quickly fading into a slightly nutty umami short finish 3.75/5

Thick, sticky sweet on the nose. Lots of bubblegum, peach, orange, perhaps some plum and dried fruits. Interestingly, perhaps some mature cheese. Certainly something dairy anyway. Very, very sweet. -50 SMV. More bubblegum, and rich sweetness like strawberry jam. Thick and lusciously mouthcoating. Sticky on the lips. Mellow and rich. The finish is surprisingly short and crisp though. It's not bad, but certainly not my ideal style. 2.5/5

Bought again because I enjoyed it the first time. Again, delicious, creamy aromas of banana, some apple and melon. Milk, cream, yoghurt - this feels like it should maybe be a kimoto. Good umami, good balance, and a rich, mellow body. Finish is medium. 4.25/5, enjoying it chilled out the fridge.

Crisp, clean, fruity nose. Brought, green apple, pear, cotton candy. Maybe a hint of something tropical like pineapple or lychee. Beautifully soft on the palate. Very gentle and mellow, but full of depth. More apple, with some of that crisp, refreshing apple acidity. Medium sweet, and the finish is long and soft. This is a sake to relax with. Juicy and delicious. 4.25/5, maybe served it too cold though.

Very delicious creamy aromas out the glass. Apple, banana, milk and cream, soft cheese, and something biscuity and cereal like. Maybe a hint of walnuts. Big, bold, punchy palate. Lots of acidity and umami. Thick and creamy mouthfeel coats the lips and leaves the flavours in the mouth. Almost chocolate like creaminess, cheesy acidity, mushrooms and chestnuts define the bold flavour profile. Will certainly be great as it warms up. 4.25/5

Very elegant on the nose Light and nutty, with tropical notes. Almonds, pineapple dominate. Deliciously tempting. Full, thick, chewy body. Lots of umami, with more nuts like almonds and chestnuts, mature cheese, and plums. The umami keeps this palate quite dry, but the finish is medium long. Very delicious, could be good warm, certainly with meals. 4.25/5

Really juicy aromas come bursting out the glass in this sake: apple, melon, bubblegum, pineapple, perhaps some anise. Super juicy, big, bold acidity. A very faint sparkling feel also?? Medium+ sweet, with flavour of ripe red apple, pineapple. The finish is rather short, and leaves a hint of nuttiness as it fades away. This is a fantastic, delicious junmai ginjo. Full of life and character, should be great with meals as well 5/5, served chilled.

Fresh and lively aromas of apple, banana, lemon, and some dairy like fresh cheese. Smells like a tasty cheesecake, with some milk and cream elements to the fruit. The palate is very different, with a very clean mouthfeel. Medium high acid keeps it zippy and tangy, but also refreshing. Finish is medium. It hangs around in the taste buds, but leaves you wanting another sip. 3.75/5 good ginjo.

Nice aromas of butter, cream, pear and banana are prominent and pleasing. Certainly there is a creamy, almost yoghurt like feel to the nose. Palate is much lighter, crisp, and with a short, rather dry finish. More cream, with definite cereal features. Acidity is low, and umami like mushrooms leads the palate. Very drinkable, good with meals I'm sure, but not all that exciting as a drinking sake. 3.5/5

Very fruity ginjo aroma opens this sake up. Lots of pineapple, bubblegum, melon, some pear, some strawberry. Delicious palate. More juicy fruit flavours of pear, melon, with a surprisingly full, nutty umami that fills the mouth. Acid is rather bold and zippy, keeping the long umami finish crisp and refreshing with a hint of bitterness. Excellent and tasty, a very good daiginjo. 4.5/5

Very fragrant ginjo aromas open up this sake: lots of ripe pear, Asian pear, melon, some subtle apple, greenish banana, all wonderfully layered over some hints of rice porridge. Velvety smooth, mouthcoating palate. Medium dry, with a crisp astringency. Medium acidity and alcohol keep this refreshing. More apple and banana, fresh cheese like mozzarella, and an umami-laced finish like chestnuts or mushrooms. Long finish, coating, hints of prune 4.25/5

Lovely inviting aromas of crisp apple, ripe pear, cream cheese, fresh chestnuts. Not overly powerful but fruity with a good acidity. Some strong astringency like basil, anise, plenty of nuttiness on the palate. Quite dry with a refreshing clean finish thanks to a bold but unassuming acidity. Good umami and nuttiness characterise the palate profile. 4.25/5 Merry Christmas
