I passed the 3rd level of the Japanese Sake Proficiency Test (^^) I was aiming for 100 points, but I got 2 questions wrong... I'm disappointed, but I went to the liquor store as a reward for myself anyway! I tasted the sake recommended by the owner, and it was so good that I bought it. The price was 2,860 yen for 720ml including tax. The brewery was established by the younger brother of a toji (master brewer) from Daishinshu, Nagano. There are only 37 stores in Japan that carry it. The aroma is more of rice than fruity. The taste has a rough but rich sweetness and gaseousness that is typical of unfiltered, unfiltered sake. The most notable feature is the ease with which it passes down the throat. It is rough, but not sharp in a good way. This is my favorite sake and I would like to try many more in the future. Next time, I will aim for the 2nd grade ^_^.

After the seri shabu, ramen and rice porridge, I ordered some more drinks and food, but there was an air of 😳 about ordering more, so I decided to just have sake (lol). There were a few sakes from outside Miyagi Prefecture, and one of them was Iraka, which has been talked about at Sake-no-wa. I was in a hurry to drink it, and I remember it was delicious, but it was too expensive, so I'm not sure if I'll repeat the experience 😆. After that, we had some time before the bullet train, so we met up with the couple sitting next to us at the after-party venue, but the restaurant was full 🈵 and we couldn't see them, so it turned out to be a phantom after-party 😢.

Iraka Sake Brewery is the "newest sake brewery" that has completed construction of a new brewery and started brewing in the fall of 2024. We had "Kuro" and "Ai" last year, and this time we opened a bottle of "Beni". The first sip was a beautiful sake with a smooth acidity and a subtle umami flavor that quickly settled on the tongue. As we continued drinking and the temperature rose, the fruity umami expanded, which was also delicious. This sake is more enjoyable as a food sake than Kuro or Ai, and can be served with more substantial dishes. Although it is an unfiltered, unpasteurized sake, the alcohol content is only 15%, so you will not get tired of drinking it. It is a little extravagant sake, but we hope to see more of it this year. This is a rumored brand that has been seen frequently. It has been pushed out by new sake and nigori sake, but we will open the bottle soon! When opened and poured, it has a refreshing aroma with hints of apples and white peaches. The mouthfeel is light and dry, with a touch of gas on the tongue. The palate is light and dry, with a hint of gas on the tongue. The subtle taste of sweetness is pleasant and cool, yet well balanced with a delicious mouthfeel! The second half is crisp and clean, and the sake is well balanced, so you can't help but drink more and more ✨. I only wish I had bought the Ai and Beni as I had seen them...! This is another brand I need to check out 👍

This is my first time to drink Nagano sake 🎵. The clear water from Matsukawa village is used, So my expectations were high 🙌! This time, I tried the red tiled one 🍷. Woody aroma of ripe apples 🍎😤. Sweetness, acidity and bitterness. When the temperature rises a little, it mellows out 😍. It's strange to see so many different faces 🧐.

But the cost is too high, so we are trying to keep it moderate. Izakaya in Matsumoto Uramachi. It is a small restaurant with only a counter, but the master and the regulars are easy to talk to and enjoyable. It is also nice to have curry from a popular curry shop right next door on the menu. A very nice place.

Tonight is the second installment of the first series of posts from the brewery around the end of last year 💁. Iraka, silver and indigo ✨✨✨ I was curious about the second series of this new sake brewery that was created as a result of business succession 😅... I can't tell the difference from the Gin Kuro from the specs on the back eticket 😆. Like the Gin Kuro, there seems to be a nice gassy feeling when you open the bottle right away. The standing aroma seems to be green apple and muscat. The taste is also very delicious, with a balance of sweetness and deliciousness of rice and sharp acidity and spiciness that I like very much 😋😋😋😋😋😋. I'm trying to compare the difference with silver black by looking at past posts but I have no idea because of my stupid nose and stupid tongue, 😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hmmm, I thought maybe the sake rice is different ⁉️, so I looked it up and they are both "Hitogokochi" ‾. Ummm that's not so easy to tell 😔🧐🤔

I've been curious about this one every time I see it at a sake shop! I was looking at the refrigerator at the liquor store wondering if it was sold anywhere in Utsunomiya 🤔 when I found it and rushed to pick it up, saying 😳There it is! I loosened my grip and looked at the price tag in my eyes and froze for a while. 😶‍🌫️ I didn't hear anything about it 🫢. But I wanted to drink it and I didn't spend any other money 😅 so I got it👍 I'll make love to you I'm feeling some kind of wooden vat feeling 😙 and Nobby I can't feel that at all Jay 🥲I looked back at your review on Sake no Wa and saw a lot of rice with the wood vat feeling! Nobby's tongue was sure 😄. The taste was a delicious one that we like, from light sweet and sour to a honnori bitterness that tightens up 🤗. Yesterday, we went to Tokyo to see them back in Japan 🤗Noby's brother and my mom joined us and the 6 of us went to Ginza for Sukiyaki lunch (delicious) → Asakusa sightseeing (very crowded💦) → beer 🍺 break! After that, we split up with my mother and brother and the four of us enjoyed drinking and eating at an Okinawan izakaya (🏮) in Ueno 😋. My daughter's English and his Japanese comprehension skills have both improved and we all had a great time 😄. We are planning to come to Utsunomiya in February together, so we are looking forward to many more things 🏮.
