We drank an evening glass of Shizuoka beer and fresh wasabi, which we had gotten on our Izu trip on Saturday and Sunday. The fresh wasabi was bought at a wasabi store near Joren no Taki waterfall. The aroma of freshly rubbed wasabi is irresistible. Serve with chilled tofu or fish cakes. Izu has wonderful nature and hot springs, but there is also something about the atmosphere that makes you feel like you are on a trip. Amagi crossing from Joren no Taki Waterfall. It is the world of Sayuri Ishikawa's "Amagi koshi" and Yasunari Kawabata's "Izu no Odoriko". I love both of them👍. I got this Kihei Junmai Sake at the Joren no Taki waterfall store. It is from the Shizuoka brewery of Kihei in Okayama. Classical sake, with the softness and freshness of Shizuoka sake, but, well, classical. I read Kawabata Yasunari's Izu no Odoriko (The Dancing Girl of Izu) again at the inn after this Izu trip to Amagi Koshi, and it was great 😌.

I went to the supermarket because I wanted a drink for the evening to drink while watching the opening game of the Premier League. I bought a bottle of Kihei's Omachi, a sake made by the Shizuoka brewery, expecting to like it as much as I liked the gorgeous Omachi. It was not what I had imagined, it was more like a classic Shizuoka sake. It is very light and dry.

I bought this sake to commemorate my visit to Shizuoka (300ml)! It is a very refreshing sake with no habits. It has a slight sweetness! The taste is very similar to that of Miyagi sake! It can be served warm.
