The second bottle today was from Kaorucho Sake Brewery in Hita City, Oita Prefecture.
I have been enjoying a bottle of this sake every year with my sister-in-law.
It is 6% alcohol and sweet! This is a strange sake that changes its alcohol content every year.
I recently responded to "Raw Ripe". The aroma is good. When you put it in your mouth, the ripe flavor spreads well. It also has a spiciness. I feel that it goes well with a solid-tasting meal such as New Year's dishes.
Every year, we spend the year-end and New Year holidays with Kaorucho's new sake.
This year, the sake shop recommends Nouveau Oorigarami.
It is a new sake with a punchy taste at 17 degrees Celsius.
You can taste the aroma and drink it, so it was perfect for drinking at my parents' house.

Surprisingly refreshing on the palate. It also has a freshness that can only be found in nama-shu. It has a sweet, mellow, and very rich flavor. It would go well with dumplings or other dishes with a strong flavor.
I went to buy sake for a little celebration. The local liquor store was closed 😢I bought some locally brewed sake at the supermarket. It was delicious but a little sweet 😅I enjoyed it with sushi.
I enjoyed the Shunyo I got the other day, so I bought the Yumachi as well. It has a punchy taste typical of Omachi. As the description says, it is dry and has a robust flavor.
We served it with hamachi sashimi that we let sit overnight and delicacies that we purchased at a Hokkaido product exhibition. The flavor is as good as the food.
Purchased at a local liquor store. First time to buy Kaorucho, and chose Shunyo from about 4 varieties. I like this sake rice as much as comet. The taste is soft as I expected. It has a clear taste with a little acidity. Then fruity umami. It is delicious.
Since it was the first time to taste a local brand, I chose Shunyo, which I was sure I would like. I was worried about the Oumachi that was next to it, but for today's entrée, I think Oumachi would have been fine. It was so delicious that I would definitely like to try other sakes.
