Traveling with a longing for Saitama sake (¡ÈSaitama sake¡É)
First of all, I wanted to see the canyon, but I had a blast on the train and was taken to Wako City!
I felt like I was doomed (simple), so I went there and it was normal
There was a spring, so I went there and was greeted by hungry mosquitoes!
They did it all out of the blue, didn't they?
I loved it!
The sake we encountered was a hiyaoroshi from the Josen series!
It has the feel of a regular sake!
In a way, it was too much like it should be!
However, it is definitely very good!
Everyday sake should be drunk everyday!
Putting aside the fact that this is the third time I've had itky at this restaurant and thought it was delicious, this sake is my favorite.
It was a bit of an experimental sake, but I can't say that it tasted like they were searching for originality while researching the current crisp, sweet sake.
The initial sweetness is weak, but the aftertaste is refreshing, and the alcohol is weak.
I would like to try more sake in the future, and since I am in the Kanto area, I would like to visit a sake brewery.
Naozane Special Junmai
Gonda Shuzo Kumagaya-shi, Saitama
The aroma is modest.
The mouthfeel is punchy rice flavor.
It is hard to shake off the alcoholic feeling that one experiences at a so-called university.
I would like to try other brands.
At Sake Brewery Eiraku (in front of Omiya Station).
A short trip from today's destination...
To Watarase Valley. Because it is the time of year when daylight is long, we can see the scenery even at this time of day. Thank goodness for that.
It's a cup of sake, but it's a nice sake that doesn't have any unpleasant taste even if you drink it in one gulp. Since we had long seats, we couldn't spend much time sipping the sake, so we just drank it quickly.
Next time, I would like to drink it slowly while taking in the wind on the trolley train.
Good evening, Nobu-Nobu!
I was surprised that you went such a long way in one day 😳‼️ first time was from Shiga😆You're right, the longer day gives you a better view of the scenery ❣️
Naozane - Namazake from the brewery
Yeast Saitama E
Alcohol: 16%.
Sake degree 0
Acidity 1.2
Aroma: Aroma of rice, rich aroma, and a little bit of alcohol.
Taste: The umami and sweetness of the rice come through strongly, and there is a slight melon-like sweetness.
I prefer light and dry sake, but once you get used to it, it is also delicious!
It goes well with simmered fish!
Gonda Shuzo Special Junmai Naozane Sakarimusashi 60
Sake strength +5, Association 901 yeast
Aroma: Slightly aged aroma.
The taste has a robust rice flavor with a slight acidity, and although the sake strength is +5, it does not feel that harsh due to the sweetness, and the aftertaste is sharp.
The aftertaste is crisp. The impression is of a round, mellow flavor.
It can be enjoyed until lukewarm.
The second bottle for today's dinner.
A 180ml bottle of Naozane Ginjo from Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture.
The sake name "Naozane" comes from Kumagaya Naozane, a military commander who also appears in the last days of Atsumori in the Tale of the Heike.
The flavor is in the classical range,
Firmly 50% polished. Aji Ginjo more than expected.
Tastier than expected, good impression.
Mie cherry sea bream processed for sashimi at the face-to-face sales corner of Kadokami Gyorui.
Zuke (marbled red tuna).
Hiraccio-san, good evening... I've been watching your posts with interest because I've recently seen a lot of Saitama sake that I know nothing about 😆 Saitama is our neighbor, but you may have only seen Kamikame, Kahayo, Gojyurashi, and Bunraku 🥺.
Good evening, Mr. Manachy😊.
I think it is very difficult to expand to other prefectures and to be nationally competitive.
In addition to the four breweries you mentioned, Kagamiyama and Kameko-Kabishi are my personal top sake breweries in Saitama Prefecture.
Naozane
I asked an acquaintance in Kumagaya to purchase it for me.
It has a clean and refreshing taste.
A solid taste with weight.
Not bad at all!
Ingredient rice: "Takemura" (sake brewer's rice)
