Today we explored daily sake at Koyama Shoten, the Disneyland of local sake.
I was in search of an inexpensive bottle of sake that would be good during dinner, and decided on Toyoka. And if it was a special order from Koyama Shoten, it was sure to be delicious!
Well, open the bottle........it's a draft sake, so it has a fresh gasiness and a refreshing sweetness that spreads out. As a mealtime sake, the lingering alcohol taste also enhances the food. It goes well with fish, meat, and anything else.
Recently, I have been unintentionally buying sake from breweries in Nagano Prefecture. That is why Nagano Prefecture produces such excellent sake.
My first sake, Toyoshimaya's Toyoka Junmai Ginjyo Unfiltered Unrefined Nama-shu Orikarami.
Purchased at Sake-no-Nama Sake Shop ¥1,870-.
Sweet and fruity aroma.
The sweetness was somewhat reminiscent of melon, and the taste was full-bodied without much acidity. It was a delicious sake.
Nagano continues.
This is a spring sake that impressed us with its cost performance last year.
Although it lacks the freshness and crispness of last year's sake, it still has a soft, gentle, slightly bitter springiness.
