It is a junmai sake, but it has a fruity and modern taste.
It is mainly light sweet but has a hint of spiciness.
It is refreshing and easy to drink.
It goes well with the acidity of the vinegared mackerel Nanban.

The Yamamoto family, the brewery of Heiwa Shuzo, started brewing sake in 1928.
Before that, it was a temple called Muryozan Choganji.
This is why some people still refer to the Heiwa Brewery as Choganji.
This sake, named after its mountain name, Muryozan, is the top of the Kido KID series.
It is made from the highest quality Yamada Nishiki,
It is made with the soft and clean water of Kishu, the origin of Kishi, and has the supreme taste of Kishu's climate.
The KID series is very cost-effective, but the highest peak of the series also has a wonderful taste and is still a very good value. ☺️

The mouthfeel is refreshing. Not too spicy and not too sweet. Good balance. There is no peculiar aftertaste. Easy to drink.
It is good to enjoy the aroma even more when served in a wine glass.

The first sip felt amazing, but as I kept drinking it, the glamour got in the way.
I got bored and couldn't drink a lot of it.
I was drinking it thinking that it would taste even better if the aroma would disappear a little more nicely.
I drank it 3 days after opening the bottle, but the gorgeousness has calmed down and the sweetness has become more pronounced. I guess people who like this sake may like it, but it is not my favorite sake.
The rating after opening the bottle was 60 points.

I arrived in Kansai on a business trip this week‼️ and as usual, I went to a liquor store to buy some things 😊I've had a lot of Kido, but I've never tasted this Kido yet and got it!
Today's snacks were gizzards with wasabi ponzu sauce and fried white fish.
Kido is the most delicious sake with the best cost performance, so we have high expectations for this one! Agara" means "our" in Japanese, and it seems to be brewed with Yamada-Nishiki made in their own rice field and polished at a low 80%! More and more promising ‼️

This will be a comment from an amateur drinker. I had another Kido from Wakayama today. It is a fresh and powerful full-bodied sake. The balance of the flavor is a bit spicy, but the umami is also strong and robust. I am thankful that we can drink good sake again today. Cheers to delicious sake!
