Go on an excursion to Chichibu, visiting Mimine Shrine and Chichibu Shrine and eating omelet rice at the retro Parry Shokudo. Here are two souvenirs: ☺️
Buko-Masamune Special Junmai Genshu
Buko-shuzo Yanagida Sohonten(Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture)
Five times better than I expected.
The mouthfeel is refreshing.
The aftertaste is fruity and a little heavy sweetness.
But it's not hard to drink by itself.
🍁Mikurabe 🍁 in autumn at Mukho Brewery.
(2) Buko-Masamune Hiyahi Oroshi Tokubetsu Junmai Genshu (Hiyahi Oroshi)
The "Haiku" is the name of a sake brewery in Japan!
The sake is a pure rice sake with a nice, standard taste that does not betray expectations.
The Chichibu Night Festival is already in full swing in Chichibu,
It's too late to feel the autumnal atmosphere, but I'm glad I had it.
I'm glad I had a chance to try it.
I only drink "Chichibu Nishiki" as Chichibu's local sake in Sakegawa, but of course I also love "Bukou Masamune".
So tonight's theme is
"Mukou Shuzo's Autumn Mimamiawase" (🍁Mukou Sake Brewery's Autumn Mimamiawase🍁)
Muko-Masamune Autumn Age Honjozo
It is dry and sharp.
It doesn't interfere with food, but it has presence...
Such an excellent child.
I have bought and tried many Chichibu sake, but I like this Buko-Masamune the best.
While other Chichibu sakes have a somewhat dry, ricey smell, this Buko-Masamune is clean, dry, and slightly fruity. It is easy to drink and has no peculiarities. In other words, it is about the same quality as a proper sake that is commonly consumed.
One cup I stocked up on while climbing Mt. Thanks to Mt. Mukou, the hero of Chichibu, which has been sending cement (limestone) since the Meiji era for the development of Japanese industry...and has been completely transformed!
One cup of Bukko-Masamune that I bought at Maruhiro Department Store in Kawagoe.
It has a refreshing taste with a beautiful umami flavor.
Buko-Masamune is a good sake.
The main dish for dinner was steak.
I bought the meat at the basement of Atre near Kawagoe Station.
It was grilled simply with salt and pepper.
I put a little of FUEKI soy sauce, which I hadn't bought for a long time, on it.
You can choose your own alcohol
There are 5 kinds of sake.
I chose the unfiltered sake!
The waiter told me that this was the most popular sake, so my expectations were high!
A little spicy!
But it goes well with creative French dishes!
The sauce of the river fish is oiler, so it goes well with the dry and crispy sake!
I thought Saitama's sake is mostly fruity, which is popular these days, but Chichibu's sake is a traditional and authentic sake!
We have high expectations for the next local sake, Chichibu Nishiki!

My daughter's work has settled down and she has some time off for a late summer vacation.
My daughter's work was finished and we had a late summer vacation, so my wife and I took a relaxing one-night trip.
First time in Chichibu!
We found a nice inn 🏨.
There is a sake brewery nearby!
Let's check it out tomorrow!
Three different kinds of sake that came with dinner!
Two of them were already chosen, but the other one had a choice of 5 different types!
I heard that Chichibu's sake is mostly dry and robust!
This Daiginjo was probably the easiest to drink for me!
We had a lot of fun talking about all sorts of things and the sake went down fast!

Review of the Collection 62
This is another bottle that I bought at the Mukou Sake Brewery during a one-day trip to Chichibu. This is the one I personally liked the most at that time among the ones I was able to taste!
The words "light and refreshing sake," "refreshing cold sake," and "slightly dry and smooth," say a lot in a few words.
The aroma is quite light! It only has a faint aroma of grass and grains. I like it this way.
The aroma is very "so-called sake," and although Bukko-Masamune itself is a dry sake brewery that makes its sake with hard water, this "so-called" feeling may come from the image of the name, lol.
However, what is interesting is that it is as smooth and easy to drink as the description says.
From the moment you drink it, a moderate amount of acidity comes out and stays until the end. The sweetness, which may be due to the alcohol or the sake itself, is gently apparent until the middle part of the bottle. The spiciness finishes off with a spiciness. It is a good dry sake with just the right amount of umami.
Sawanoi is also good at this kind of sake. It could be described as an old man's sake, but the acidity is more in line with modern meals. This is good!
