My father-in-law caught some flounder for me.
So I made boiled fish 😊.
So I checked the fridge for a sake to go with it and opened a bottle of my favorite Oroku-sama ✨.
I thought it would be a classic type of sake, but while it certainly has a classic taste, the aroma is milky fruity and the taste is sweet and bitter.
The strong alcohol taste, combined with the mountain stream flavor, was hard to describe in one word, but it was a taste worthy of a high class sake.
I had it cold this time.
I had it cold this time, but the staff recommended heating it up.
I would like to try it heated as well. ❤️
Good evening, Mr. Rurun!
I'd like to have a glass of the boiled flounder that my father-in-law caught 🤤.
Fish and sake go so well together, so you have a great choice of sake 🎵.
I haven't tried Oroku sake, but it looks well-balanced and delicious 😋.
Hello ma-ki- sir 😊.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the fish!
It was my first time to taste Oroku, too, and I could feel the delicate attention to detail of the master brewer: ❤️

The second drink was Oroku.
I enjoy having a brand that I don't often see.
Gentle acidity, maybe I'm imagining it, but it's a little tangy.
But it also has a strong umami and sweetness!
This is delicious!
There is a slight malted rice smell, but it becomes less noticeable after drinking about half a gou of sake.
You can taste sakekasu in the aroma and taste. I think it is one of the less sweet and more bitter active nigori. It is quite tasty, but for me it is an expensive sake, and considering that I would drink it in two or three days on a non-special day, I really have a hard time buying it. There are cheaper and better tasting sakes out there, so I wonder if that would be a better deal.
Still, I like my hometown sake, Oroku.
Degree of buying again 9/10

It is truly a mountain stream sake!
Like a clear stream and powerful.
A light sake that is easy to drink and goes down smoothly.
It has a freshness and a perfect balance of umami and bitterness.
Slightly sweet. A light and refreshing fruity feeling.
Just the right amount of acidity and a clean crispness.
This is the second sake I paired with tempura.
It quickly drains away the oily feeling of fried food, but leaves the harmony of the tempura and the flavor of the sake rice.
Tonight, a bottle of this one here 💁♂️ as a continuation of the muddy picks.
Oroku Kei Junmai Nigori 2022BY✨
This is a junmai nigori unfiltered from Ohroku's Kei series.
It's close to what I drank last time and a little gas rises when you open the bottle 😊🫧.
From the top clear (light nigori). It has melon, dried grapes, plums, and a hint of creaminess. The taste has a tingling gas, acidity, and rice sweetness and flavor that I love, and the high alcohol content is full and dry 😋😋😋😋.
I like the dryness and creaminess of the wine when the lees are fully agitated and the intoxication goes away faster 😆.
Like last time, it's easy to drink but has a strange charm that makes it drinkable 🍶🍶.
