It's been a while since I've wanted to drink an arosoe, but when I think of Kikuso, all I can think of is honjozo, and I end up choosing an arosoe that doesn't look like an arosoe, which is the charm of it! The balance of umami, acidity, and spiciness is just too good, and it's crazy to think that a bottle of this is only a little over 2,000 yen. It can be served chilled, at room temperature, or heated!

Kikusake came with sashimi. It is a very gentle food sake. It is usually delicious. It goes well with sashimi. Bonito with spicy soy sauce, hamo (pike conger eel) with vinegared miso, shinko (freshwater fish) and yellowtail with wasabi soy sauce. The dishes also have a gentle taste.

This is the liquor store where we always buy Katsikoma. Since they did not have Katsuma, I requested a similar sake, and after much deliberation, they recommended it to me. I thought it was sweet at first sip, but that feeling disappeared as I continued drinking. However, I am not sure if it is as good as Katsuma...

Special Junmai sake, 60% rice polishing ratio, ALC 15-16 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ We were able to compare Kikuyuizui's special honjozo and special junmai. The Honjozo was very gentle, but the Junmai was a little dryer and you could feel the taste of rice. Ginjo Tuna Musashikosugi: 20220501
