Brewing Forest, now called "Yuki no Mayu".
The only thing that has changed is the name: ⁉︎
It is very fruity and tasty! Sweet and juicy now, but...
It is a little different from the image of easy-drinking sake, as it seems more sour and alty than before.
I'm sure there are some differences depending on the lot.
Niigata Drive 🚙 ②
Tasting continues at Naeba Sake Brewery 😙.
1 cup = 1 coin (100 yen)
Next up: Naebayama Nama Sake 🥂.
A refreshing aroma with a hint of sourness.
When you drink it... oh ❣️
This is a refreshing sweet and sour fruity 💕
The lingering aroma is just as delicious 😚💕.
Next up
Naebayama Daiginjyo for the competition 🥂.
The aroma is faintly similar to that of snow cocoon.
When you drink it
The sweetness is just a little
You can feel the umami of the rice.
After that, a light sourness comes out and it's refreshing!
Delicious 😋.
It feels heavier than the other two we had earlier.
There were 6 kinds of tasting, so I wanted to try them all, but my trip to Niigata had just started!
And it's not even 10am ❗️ it's morning ☀️🤣!
So the tasting ended with 3 kinds!
I bought a few souvenirs and went to the next destination 🚙.
Good evening, Tsubu 😃.
Oh, you went to Naeba Brewery ❗️
Hunter went there for Masamune too, but didn't have time to visit 😓.
I'm so envious of the great service they provide to let you in behind the glass 🥹.
Good evening, Hiro!
Yes I went 😆Masamune hunterHiro you went there too❣️I thought I should go there too 😙The tour of the warehouse was a rare experience☺️ sorry I didn't hunt for Masamune 🤣.
Today, Mt. Naeba.
At Echigo-Yuzawa.
Anyway, the rice is good.
New Koshihikari rice from Minamiuonuma.
Seriously good.
Sorry, it's not so much the sake, but the rice is really delicious...
☀️
This is the loot from Nagaoka - Naeba where I went a while ago✨
I bought it at the brewery🤗
The first sip feels like a white wine 🍾.
It has sweetness, umami, and a bitter aftertaste 😚.
I thought it was alcohol like with the occasional sharp sensation, but it was surprisingly alcohol added 🤗.
I guess all breweries are getting better at adding alcohol these days ✨.
Once again we have a souvenir from my mother🍶, Naebayama from the Naeba Sake Brewery, which she purchased on her trip to Niigata. Yuki no Mayu is well-known, but this one has a higher alcohol content of 18%. The label gives a hint of austerity.
The aroma is alcholic and deliciously spicy. When you sip it, the mildly tasty and spicy taste spreads and you feel a heavy fall. The high alcohol content warms the body. It has been a while since I drank a robust sake.
I paired it with komatsuna greens and crab cakes, and it was delicious. I think it goes well with simple salty snacks like those served at izakaya (Japanese style pubs). Delicious✨
Slightly greenish and clear, with aromas of yogurt, cooked rice, melon, honeysuckle, and lime. The attack is rather strong and refreshing.
acidity, with a moderate sweetness and a long finish.
Today I stayed in Mito for work, so I had dinner plus a glass of sake for dinner!
This is a comparison of Niigata sake.
First up is a classic from the "Yuki no Mayu" brewery.
Aromatic and medium-bodied, the initial feeling is of clean water that
complex complex of umami.
Naeba-yama, shouldn't it be advertised more?
