With the excitement of one more day to go until the consecutive holidays, I made a little detour to Toyama-san, which I haven't visited since February. When I told him that I hadn't seen him at Sake-no-Wawa, the owner immediately inquired about it, but he hasn't shown up yet. Today, I would like to introduce one item at a time. First, "Wakakoma". I guess it's the first time. I was horrified by the +19, but it is crisp and refreshing on the palate. It is dry but not harsh.
Bought at a warehouse
This one is also fruity, sweet and tasty with a grapefruit-like bitterness.
It is fizzy and has a nice schwash.
I didn't realize that 80% polished rice could be so tasty.
I thought it was just a stereotype that polishing is good.
The 7th Matsuo Taisha Sake-1 Grand Prix⑭
Tochigi love💕🤗Wakakoma booth.
The sixth generation brewer, Yukihiro Kashiwase, who trained for three years at the famous Nara sake brewery Aburanaga Shuzo, known for its famous sake "Kaze no Mori," focuses on brewing sake with a clean flavor and clear acidity.
The oldest sake brewery in Oyama City, which is also a national tangible cultural property, was used for filming in the drama "JIN". The sake is mainly unfiltered and unpasteurized, with a focus on low refining.
The only image I had of the sixth generation that I had met and talked to before was that of a brusque and unfriendly man 🤣I checked, and this time, too, the response was from the sixth generation. I was surprised that he was so friendly 😳.
Wakakoma Omachi 90, unpressed, unfiltered, raw sake.
The explanation was that it was Muscat. Both are 90 and clean sake. It has a strong rice flavor, but is clean and clear.
Wakakoma Aizan 90 unpasteurized, unfiltered, unpasteurized, unpasteurized sake.
It is described as a peach. It has a lot of acidity and is a bit messy.
In my opinion, I preferred Omachi.
Hi Nemuchi 😃
The golden duo of bou & nemu really have a wide range of skills 🤗.
I saw Tochigi love 🥰 and JIN looked like J&N for a moment 😆 I'm so self-conscious 🤣 I'd like to try Wakakoma's Yumachi👍.
Good evening, Tsuyodai 🌛I like the exchange line with chikumo, it's a good and efficient way to get hard-to-find sake 😆I'm looking at you enviously 😁Wakakakoma is interesting because it has many varieties, low milled and high milled 😉.
Purchase of a warehouse
It is an old building and is designated as a cultural asset.
He also showed us the barrels and the squeezer used for brewing.
He said, "It is said that it is better to polish rice to 70 or 80% for daiginjo, but we do it this way," and for nama sake, "Heat treatment is better for long-lasting sake, but we don't do it," etc. Impressed by his persistence in not denying others, we decided to buy two bottles, although we had decided to buy only one bottle per brewery.
As the label on the back of the bottle says, the taste is reminiscent of white peaches, with a fruity and sour aftertaste.
Satoru-san, good evening 🌙Wakakoma sake brewery looks quaint and nice, and the location of the chimney is an interesting structure 👀The people at the brewery are nice, and it looks like it will be even more delicious ✨.
Matsuo Taisha Sake-1 Grand Prix⑭
As at last year's event at the Hankyu Department Store, the head brewer of the brewery was also there.
He seemed easy to talk to, unlike the atmosphere at the Hankyu event where it was difficult to talk to him.
It was like meeting a celebrity at this event.
We drank
Aizan - Unpressurized, unfiltered, raw sake
Polishing ratio 90
The impression I had when I drank it at home before was the same as the Aizan style.
Omachi unpressed, unfiltered, raw sake
Also 90% polished rice.
Juicy with a muscat flavor. It may be one of the best Wakakoma wines!
I've almost decided what drinks I want to drink in the cold storage on the first floor.
So I went to the second floor around here.
I found a few more brands on the second floor that I'm a little curious about 💡.
Let's have these two sakes!
Wakakoma is a first for me!
And in honor of Tochigi Prefecture 🎩!
I will be attending the Moka Junior High School reunion today!
It's a day trip, though 🤫.
Wakakoma is a sake brewery in Oyama.
Is this a transfer station for train travel?
Let's get off at Kitayama station and take a peek at a certain sake brewery while we're at it!
Today, they offer free sake tasting and free sake brewery tours!
I heard there is also a Mashiko pottery event!
I digress, Wakakoma is a very popular and light sake 🍶.
I'll have this brand again in the future when I find it 🍶.

The fifth 🍶 and last dinner at "Raijin Kijin Hagihara" on the first day of the 🌸 spring food tour in Toyama without using any Hokuriku Ouenwari (tearful).
Dry Wakakoma. This is also Nanto. This might be my first time too. This is also my first time to drink this.
After the shabu shabu shabu with Tsukinowaguma, I had Himi udon noodles, which I thought was sweet, but then I had rice cooked with firefly squid (‼️). The first bowl of rice was just as it was, and the second bowl was ochazuke with five-color arare and dashi broth. I'm full 😆.
After eating sakekasu ice cream, we were taken to a tea room for matcha tea and tea sweets.
We really enjoyed the spring in Toyama. As expected of a starred restaurant 🎵.
Good evening Toshihiko 😃.
Toyama in spring 🤩Thanks for the trip 😆Good 🤗We can't wait to go 🥹The drinking and eating so far is great, but I want to try the firefly squid takikomi 😍I want to try this 😋I will refer to it!
Hagiwara is good 🎵 I recommend it.
Today we are enjoying spring in Toyama again at Levo in Toga Village 😆 It's great to be able to eat and sleep right away ✨✨.
Wakakoma Aizan 90 - No-pressure harvest (2022BY)
The aroma is like a matured sake!
It is sweet and umami-style! It has sweetness and richness as if it has been matured for a year, but the aftertaste is clean!
There is no orikarami-like oriki sensation. 🈚️
This is my first time to drink Wakakoma! It tasted different from what I imagined, but I liked it.
A trade for chikumo 😁.
Thanks for everything 😆.
It's dry yet sweet and delicious ✨.
Smells like muscat or lychee.
I almost drank the whole bottle.
I left a little bit to change the taste
2nd day.
The dryness stands out and it's good too👍✨
Thanks for the treat!
