I went to Niimi city, deep inside Bicchu Matsuyama castle. The purpose of the trip was to have an "exorcism". I am not a religious person, but I have had some bad luck in the last 3 years, and I felt mentally down, so I decided to have an exorcism because my best friend is a Shinto priest. It has been more than ten years since we last met. This shrine is Yatsushiro Shrine, which is famous for its Ox worship. The effect of the exorcism is said to be outstanding.
The sake he gave me. When you put it in your mouth, it tastes a little bitter on your nose. When you take a sip, you feel a little bit of a pungent sensation on the nose, and then you feel a slight sweetness, followed immediately by spiciness. There is some lingering spiciness. What is characteristic is the taste, I wonder what it is, is it rich? It is not a bad taste.
It would be delicious if it were heated, but the season is over!
We had it with sauteed shiitake mushrooms and leek balls.
