私の英語を言い訳してください Very dry. Dryer than any I’ve tried I think. My first taste I struggled to find flavors and nuances to identify. Best I came up with was mineral-like aspects. Turns out to be a fortuitous choice for my meal: red Thai coconut curry pork and broccoli over rice that my wife made, along with a cob of steamed yellow corn. Dry sake was a good choice after all with this spicy dinner but honestly many other sakes I prefer much more.

Yes I agree. Not bad at all. I might get more used to a drier type soon. :-)

私の英語を言い訳してください Terrific Sake! Smooth, no edges, banana, cantaloupe, a little mineral. Long and complex mouth feel as the sake runs through my palate. Enjoyed with sushi! Tamago, amaebi, maguro and a wonderful hamachi kama. I’m a very happy person right now. Life can be great sometimes. :-)

Wonderfully dry and light, and water-like which love. Immediate sense of berries on first sip, notes of flower and pear as well. Enjoyed with roast chicken with a wild Chanterelle mushroom cream sauce over pasta. 私の英語を言い訳してください

I really enjoyed this! Very fragrant and immediately I thought of flowers and banana. Some apple too. Enjoyed with steamed rice with two fried eggs with runny yolk, butter and soy sauce. Then my wife gave me cold sliced green tomatoes with fresh mozzarella cheese, basil, balsamic vinaigrette and then drizzled with an olive oil produced locally by my manager at work who grows his own olives. :-) 私の英語を言い訳してください

私の英語を言い訳してください Not bad not great. Light and dry, I detected some hints of banana, grape and some tropical fruit, and of course some cedar and wood. Tasted great with a grilled salmon fillet my wife made for me. :-)

A new favorite for me! I really enjoyed this. At first smell and light taste as I brought the glass to my mouth is strawberry. Then a slight moderate spice and quite dry. Enjoyed with Chinese dumplings, Chinese onion pancake, tamago sushi and gyoza. I had it chilled but might try warm too later. 私の英語を言い訳してください

Delicious! Another of the more watery sakes but again not in a bad way, gives it a refreshing lightness and rainwater essence. Melon overtones and some slight spiciness. Enjoyed with oysters, scallops, calamari, chicken and shishito peppers, all grilled on my small outside grill. 私の英語を言い訳してください

Delicious! Thick creamy mouth-feel, notes of melon, tropical fruit and candy. Very distinctive. Enjoyed with buffalo meat momo (Tibetan dumplings), short-rib noodle soup, hard-boiled quail eggs and Swiss emmentaler cheese. :-) 私の英語を言い訳してください

Delicious and light yet good acidity to food. Immediate flavor of ripe green pear almost candy-like followed by good finish that fades to apple-like notes. I enjoyed this with freshly sliced beautiful ruby-red maguro sashimi from my local Japanese market (using a terrific knife I bought in Kyoto last summer) and then a bowl of Chinese hot and sour soup. Yes, strange combination! :-) 私の英語を言い訳してください

味わい深くて軽いけど、食欲を刺激する酸味もある。立ち上がりは熟した青梨でほぼ飴だまのよう(に甘い)。リンゴのような後味でキレが良い。近くの日本人向け市で買ったルビーのようなマグロの赤身の刺身とともに。

Very nice, woody and earthy with some fruit, citrus nuance. Enjoyed with Italian spaghetti with meat tomato sauce made by my wife. :-) 私の英語を言い訳してください

Had some more of this tonight. Enjoyed with salami, emmenthaler cheese, cole slaw and quail eggs.

It was smooth, quite dry fruity, some subtle caramel, and some mild vegetable background for me. I enjoyed it with wok-dry fried salt/pepper pork spare ribs my wife prepared. 私の英語を言い訳してください

Wonderful sake good balanced dryness with hints of tropical fruit and some light herbs/spices. Enjoyed with smoked oysters with red chili pepper on pita crackers. Great together! 私の英語を言い訳してください

Very light and refreshing. Not much after taste. Smooth. Apple, tropical fruits, peach nuances. A nice sake but not very complex. I enjoyed it though. I sipped it with some pasta with a white cheese sauce and grilled chicken. 私の英語を言い訳してください

Quite different than the usual sake I’ve been drinking lately but I liked it a lot. Very light, melon flavor, crisp, mineral-like. I enjoyed it with some cold Vietnamese chicken I bought at a local ban mi sandwich shop. I drank it chilled but as it warmed to room temperature it developed more complexity and more strength and then stood up better to strong flavors of food. Should be great to have in summer with cold dishes enjoyed outdoors. 私の英語を言い訳してください :-)

Quite delicious lacking in fruity character which is ok sometimes! Described as earthy but I didn’t taste this. A little woody perhaps? Smooth with little strong alcohol aftertaste which can be unpleasant. Enjoyed with homemade pasta bow tie noodles tossed with garlic, anchovy paste, olive oil, butter and ricotta cheese. A simple straight draft sake purchased at a little sushi place catering to students near entrance to UC Berkeley. Not bad not great. But was good with simple fare I enjoyed! 私の英語を言い訳してください

Delicious! A new favorite! I taste coffee/mocha notes with honey/buttery nuances. Also a hint of corn. Creamy mouth-feel. Enjoyed it with shell pasta with peas and a light cheese cream sauce. I will buy again for sure.

Purchased in a local market in San Francisco area. Regrets unfortunately. Harsh, unrefined and few subtle nuances and flavors found in poorer Japanese-made sakes I’ve tried. Maybe a different style and approach than I’m used to? Maybe it’s the California rice they use (they say they cannot obtain traditional rices used for sake in sufficient quantities). For the price ($20 USD) there are so many better sakes to enjoy. 私の英語を言い訳してください
