We found this at a Mutsu Hachisen distributor in Hakodate. There were other attractive local sake from various regions lined up, so it looks like I will have many opportunities to visit in the future. Now, I finally got this pink label. Compared to the regular one, it has a stronger impression of sweetness and fruitiness. The well-balanced sweetness and acidity with a sense of fermentation, and the sharp spiciness that comes afterwards, are not found in the regular product. Delicious! In our town, there is a special agent of Fukui Prefecture's Kuroryu Sake Brewery. Why in such a small town in the countryside? I asked the owner to find out why. He told us that there is a master brewer from this town who works for the Kuroryu Brewery. Is it because of that? So I bought a bottle of "Kutouryuu Hidariguchi," a product of the same brewer. I took a sip, expecting a light cloudy sake. What a surprise! I was surprised to find a melon-like flavor spreading through the mouth (surprise!). After that, the sweet-umami taste gradually receded, and the spiciness gradually came up. It is a seasonal product, so it is only available while supplies last. It is a seasonal product, so I have to buy it while it is still in stock, otherwise I won't be able to drink it for a while.
