It has a sweetness that is hard to believe it is sake, and I can see why it is called "adult calpis. It's sweet, but fresh and somewhat light, so you can drink it forever. The low alcohol content is good too ✨.
The fifth bottle I stocked on my trip to Saitama ^ ^.
I had never seen "Otona no Calpis" sold locally, so I wanted to try it once.
It's sweet, tart, refreshing and goes well with yakitori 👀.
I heard it's recommended to drink it on the rocks ^ ^.
I decided to open the bottle while cheering for Shohei Ohtani at the NBL season opener❗️٩٩_(ᐛ )و
Strangely enough, it goes well with yakitori 👀.
Low alcohol and easy to drink 🍶.
There are so many different kinds of sake in the world ^_^!
The first impression of the drink is exactly the "adult Calpis" that you often see in reviews. I strongly feel the sweet and sour acidity characteristic of nigori (nigori sake). I was told that three times the usual amount of white malted rice is used, which must be responsible for the deep creaminess.
Since it has a strong flavor, I served it on the rocks with ice as recommended. It is also delicious.
My favorite degree (self-assessment)
★★★★★★☆☆☆☆
Fruity, tart, 6% alcohol by volume.
Calpis for adults!
I paired it with dumplings because it said it was for meat dishes, but I don't think it's a food wine....
It's delicious, but....
It's too sweet and too low in alcohol content to be a juice for me.
Sanuki kuradei (species of whelk, Neptunea polycostata)
Sweet. Sour. It is like calpis. The alcohol content is low, so you can drink it like juice. Delicious.
Perfect for an after-dinner dessert drink.
