SAKEWA Kansai Chapter 2024 New Year's Party Report: 1️⃣ 9️⃣
The 3rd meeting was at chuin, Aladdin's favorite restaurant 🚕.
It is a simple standing-style restaurant specializing in sake, and leaflets with explanations were provided, so even I, who did not have much knowledge about sake, was able to drink with awareness 🍶.
The first drink was Inogashira.
When I think of "Inokashira" I think of a famous park in Tokyo, but this is Nagano sake ❄︎
The sake is made from Hitogokochi, which has a nice sweetness and flows smoothly without any peculiarities 💡.
The label is so unique that I'm not sure what it means... 🌀

During my trip to Nagano, I had the opportunity to try both nama-shu and hi-ire at the same time at Kasuga Sake Brewery's tasting and sales.
It was a good opportunity for me to understand the tastes and preferences of the same brand of sake, both nama-shu and hi-ire.
This time, I preferred the hi-ire version and bought this one.
It has a nice sweetness, with a refreshing acidic aftertaste.
It was a nice encounter.

This time, when I was drinking sake at a corner bar, Kasuga Sake Brewery, which was tasting and selling sake at the sake counter, brought two kinds of sake to me.
The fire-brewed one tasted so good that I bought it without thinking.
Kasuga Shuzo
Inokashira Junmai
This brewery is located in Ina City, Nagano Prefecture.
Hitogochi" rice produced in Nagano Prefecture is polished to 59%.
Mild aroma, full-bodied rice flavor,
Slight acidity and a crisp finish.

Cold: Fruity, Warmed: Umami
Rice: Hitogokochi from Nagano, Polishing ratio: 59
Alcohol content: 15%, Production date: R5,December
It has a fruity aroma like fresh melon with a nutty aroma in the back. It has a light sweetness but is dry and crisp, so it is a sake to drink in a wine glass.
The dish to be paired with this sake is an appetizer with prosciutto ham (synergy), considering the aroma of melon, or Caprese with fruit tomatoes (So_1F345) for harmony.
I also recommend drinking it with the subtle sweetness of Bonjiri (grilled with salt) to wash down and neutralize the fatty taste in your mouth.
When heated, it retains the aroma of melon🍈 while bringing out the nutty aroma of peanut butter🥜, yet it is still a refreshing sake!
It goes well with kinpira gobo (burdock root), which has the same earthy aroma, and may also go well with stewed beef and burdock.

Kansai Sake-new year party [3rd party
The third party was at Aladdin's favorite restaurant, "Sake and Otsumami Chuin Shinmachi.
I called to confirm that the restaurant could accommodate 7 people, and was told that it would be fine in the back of the restaurant.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk there, so we take a cab.
The first taxi was soon found, and a few people got into it and headed for the restaurant, but the second cab didn't seem to catch.
With a cab, I would have arrived at the store sooner, but for some reason, I arrived before the first group🤣why?
We entered the restaurant, each chose a choko (sake cup), and shared 1 gou (1 cup) among 7 people.
This place has a great selection of sake that tickles my fancy and I'm always posting about it on Instagram.
I'm in agony because I'm so excited that Aladdin is going there and I want to go.
They have a selection of sake that I don't know about and rarely drink, and it tickles me so much that it pisses me off 🤯.
Here we drank Inokashira, Sawa-no-Izumi and Raku-no-Se and the big New Year party was over 😆.

Kansai Sake-new year party ㉔
After a short cab ride, we went to Chuin-san, familiar to us from Aladdin-san's post.
Inokashira, a sake I had never heard of until now😅.
The rice used is Hitogokochi.
I think it was fresh, fruity and gently sweet 🤔.
It is a Nagano sake, but you don't see it very often, so you can't help but pick it up.
Hitogokochi is 59% junmai (pure rice), but it is quite polished. However, it is surprisingly yellow.
It was cold on the first day, so it was warmed up to 40°C. The aroma was apple with a hint of apple. The aroma is faintly apple-like. When you drink it, it has a pungent bitterness, but you can also taste a hint of fruitiness. At 45℃, the bitterness and sharpness at the end become slightly stronger. As it cools down, the apple or banana sweetness becomes stronger.
Cold sake. The aroma is slightly stronger than when heated, but only slightly. After a crisp minty nuance and a hint of apple sweetness, the rice flavor is not as strong as before, and then it turns spicy and sharp. Personally, I would drink it cold or warmed.
It is not that mellow, but this modern medium junmai is a perfect example of perfection. It can be served with food or on its own.

First impression is like water. However,
When tasted, it is slightly effervescent and dry, with acidity, a citrus-like aroma, and a slight bitterness. It is gradually delicious. I can't stop.
Purchased at a sake brewery. Newly brewed sake.
It is located right next to Ina City Station. Free parking for an hour at the municipal parking lot. For some reason, this sake brewery makes sake that is very much to my liking.
