Basically, I don't drink brewed alcohol in pubs.
I don't drink brewed sake at izakaya because I always feel nervous about taking the risk of paying for it because of the large margin of error. I am always nervous about taking a gamble.
This Tateyama has less of the amino acid content that is unique to brewed sake, and is more like a junmai (pure rice) sake. I like it.

From Unfulfilled Production Areas - Toyama
Surprising that there is no purchase history of Toyama sake. This one has a classic feel as the label says. I'd like to try heating it up.

They say it's a new series of my favorite Tateyama.
It looks like it is basically distributed only in Toyama prefecture.
It is what is called a dry sake, with a clean and crisp mouthfeel.
It has a ginjo aroma and is mildly tailored with a slight umami flavor.
It's good!
It's supposed to be dry, but I guess it's not that dry.
Today, as always, sake and good rice win the day.
Fried taro + mustard, a good match.
Tateyama label, too personal favorite...
