I wanted to try this sake once, as it appears in my favorite book (manga)!
I was surprised & happy to find it very reasonably priced😊.
The mouthfeel is very gentle and then the umami comes through. The balance is really good!
It goes well with any meal, the sake doesn't hide the food and the food doesn't hide the sake.
It is a sake that harmonizes. Delicious~Happiness time!
Relatively tasty, but dry and good.
However, it has a little bit of an alcohol? Brewing? but it is a bit alcoholic?
clear and refreshing
Watery in a bad way
Local sake for local food.
Aji sashimi and a glass of sake.
Spring has come, the weather is warming up, and the horse mackerels are starting to get fat.
A famous Shizuoka sake, Kikusen at room temperature.
The taste of aji, soy sauce, and sake. Slowly, slowly, slowly. Luxury.
It would have been great with some sudachi (Japanese citrus fruit).
Kikuizui is another great sake.
It is good at room temperature.
It is good at room temperature, and it is also good when heated.
I like the special honjozo, but I would be relieved if I had this special junmai at home.
lucky (billiards)
Very slight tingling. Calm aroma. Soft taste in the mouth. And umami. It is recommended to be served cold, but when heated up, the aroma of rice stands out and it is extremely delicious.
I was told that this sake was voted the best everyday sake in Japan by dancyu. I couldn't find it in my stock of the March issue of dancyu, which is a shame because I've been an otaku for a long time.
Sake brewery tour across Shizuoka Prefecture (bullet train).
I bought a bottle at Aoshima Sake Shop across the street from the brewery. The brothers are the grandfathers of the brewery, which used to be owned by the same company. They are now a separate company and sell other companies' products, but Kikusen is purchased directly from the production area, not through a wholesaler.
Good morning, old man 😃.
Thanks for the sake brewery tour across Shizuoka 🤗.
I'd like to try the everyday sake Japan's best 😋 I'd like to try it with heated sake 🍶.
Mr. Jay & Nobby
I have only had a few sakes from Shizuoka, but they seem to be characterized by dry, calm and easy to drink.
In other words, beware that you will find yourself emptying out.
