Memorandum for myself
It has been quite a while since I have had a bottle of Itaru-san.
It has been a long time since I have had a bottle of Itaru-san.
It is still fruity and my favorite.
It has a moderate aftertaste and wears off nicely, so I never get tired of it.
This is like a traditional sake.
It is not too sweet and has a full-bodied flavor.
Because it is a pure sake, it is a little strong at 18%, and has a bit of bitterness, but the aftertaste is refreshing.
It is best to drink it like I do, by yourself, in silence.
It's getting colder, so we're having our first nabe of the season. It is a good season. The sake to be paired with mizutaki is Itaru, a Japanese sake from Sado Island.
It has a gorgeous ginjo-like flavor with a rich rice flavor and just the right amount of dryness. I like this unique flavor, which is distinctly different from the light and dry style of Niigata.
