Ume Nishiki Yamakawa
Bought at Sasazuka and Fujikonishi
It has a unique aroma, like a candy or a barley candy.
It's sweet, sour and a little bitter at the same time, very juicy🍊Hassaku, orange, grape🍇
I don't need too many snacks!
Ume-nishiki, a representative sake of Ehime, was sent to me by a colleague from Ehime.
When I drank it about 5 years ago, I honestly didn't like it very much.
But when I tried it again, it was delicious!
I used to have a sweet image of it, but this one is refreshing, light, and crisp, just the opposite✨.
I'm not sure what to make of it, but I'm sure it's a good idea.
It's a very dry sake for sipping... almost like the image of Miyagi's sake ✨.
I might not have to worry about sake when I go back to Ehime🤔.
It's good.
It is a sake that can be enjoyed with or without food.
It has a refreshing taste. It has a strong taste and aroma. It has acidity and a crisp ministry.
This sake is brewed by Umeshiki Yamakawa, a subsidiary of the major sake maker Hakutsuru Shuzo. In recent years, Hakutsuru Shuzo has purchased a number of breweries from across Japan. The Aomori-based brewer Momokawa, which uses Hakutsuru Nishiki, is also a subsidiary company of Hakutsuru Shuzo.
Not much of an aroma, slight whiff of alcohol. Dry, watery and clean on the palate, with little umami and a slight alu taste. After drinking it, it has a light throat feeling with a faint sweetness. It is a standard shokuchu sake.
For the snacks, we had stewed kalbi and root vegetables, mussel pickled in soy sauce, chili bonito sakutome, and baby star ramen with the flavor of kondashi. It goes best with sakabuto, which enhances its sweetness.
Good evening.
Momokawa" was originally purchased by a Korean soju maker "Jinro". It is good to see that the local long-established "Momokawa" has returned to a Japanese company from a foreign company.
Momokawa is located in a neighboring prefecture, so I remember seeing a lot of commercials for it on local TV. I didn't know that it was affiliated with the Shinro family... I guess sake breweries have their work cut out for them.
This is a drink brought by a junior who came to stay at my house because he was going to ski tomorrow.
It has a slight ginjo aroma. It has a good flavor, but it's a little thin.
It's good with a protein-based snack.
Scoring: ☆☆☆☆
The aroma of plum blossoms is said to be faint.
Is it like a plum wine? I tried to smell it.
I tried to smell it, but it smelled like plum blossoms in the distance. 😅
It's crisp, and doesn't have much flavor or sweetness. It's a typical food sake.
When I heated it up, the pluminess became stronger. 😁
Not fruity, but a plum aroma.
It's quite an interesting sake 🌃‼️😄.
Sake type:Junmai-shu
Rice type: (Koji rice) Omachi 65%, (Kake rice) Matsuyama Mitsui 65%.
Sake degree: +2.5
Acidity: 1.8
Alcohol level: 15 to 16 degrees
It's delicious.
I did some research and found out that it was the first time for me to try Shirazur Nishiki.
Developed by Hakutsuru Shuzo, it is the younger brother of Yamadanishiki, and it seems to be the hardest rice produced by a limited number of sake breweries including the big names in the 14th, Jikon, and Sakaku industries.
It's like going sharp with the weight of the good booze from the aroma and good taste😊😊.
For the first time I've seen this drink, I ordered it!
The scent is mild.
The taste is sweet with the sweetness of the rice at first, and then the soft acidity kicks in midway through and disappears nicely.
It has a calmness that is typical of hiyaoroshi 😊.
This is a warmed-up Junmai. I've never seen a sake that claims to be "warmed up" on the label (I just don't drink the kind. LOL)
It's hard to describe how well it tastes when you actually try it, but it's a strange sake that doesn't have the same impact (hot sake) that you feel when drinking hot sake as it is cold. The aroma that comes out of the nose is not overpowering.
You get the sense that it was made just to be enjoyed as a warmed-up drink.
It's not because it's a mountain waste sake, but because it's Junmai.
