This sake is one of my new favorites. There wasn't much of an aroma that I could pick up at the time, but I did notice it's more earthy hue, likely from what the sake was stored in for the aging process. The flavor was a soft roll on of vanilla, without it feeling sweet or having a tart after taste. The later notes were fruity, mostly an apple flavor, with the alcohol providing a crisp finish. What I found most unique about this sake was the heavy body despite being filtered. Delightful.

★★★★★3,900 yen. Aged sake. The regular Mantenboshi is delicious, but it is different and better when aged. 2018, following 2016, is a gorgeous, lingering, aged sake. It is good by itself. Will buy again if there are any left.

Very frizzy! The aroma is also very strong! The color is dark and I knew it from the moment I poured it, but it's strong! The mouthfeel is soft!
