The nose of this sake greets you with a quiet nod of the head, rather than a handshake or wave. The aromas are deep and mellow, with round umami of mushrooms and nuts, and an acidity like rich, mature or blue cheese.
The palate is bold with a strong acidity and sharp pungency. More earthy, nutty notes, featuring sweetness like dried fruits. Thick and mouthcoating, but with a light finish. Alcohol tingles as it leaves.
