It is delicious. When I read Shinzo, it was Kagura. I bought it at Shimada Sake Shop because I thought the typeface of Shinzo was cool. As it says, "the corners are removed and the sake becomes rounded." It is delicious!

I was deleting photos and found an unposted one. I'll register this brand because I don't drink much. I was attracted to this sake because it is "limited to restaurants". The fact that it is not limited to Izakaya (Japanese-style pubs) is very Kyoto-like. I remember we were all oohing and aahing over the cool label when the bottle came out!

The word "kanzo" is written on a large styrofoam bottle. When you break it in two, you find a cool-looking bottle of kagura inside. The bottle is not filtered at all, so it is said to have a faint, young grass color derived from koji (malted rice). Sake rice is 65% polished rice. It has a clear drinking taste that is hard to believe it is 65. It has a fresh mouthfeel and a sweet, savory, yet refreshing finish. I remember it was the No. 1 sake at a sake event at Matsuo Taisha shrine in Kyoto this spring. I am very proud of its ability and I am hanging my head 🙇.

I wanted to drink a little more after opening the "Sairai Yojo-no-Kaze," so let's open the smaller ones I had in stock 🍶. Shinzo Tokubetsu Junmai Shu (special junmai sake) 1gou can. Soft rice aroma, smooth mouthfeel, juicy umami, sweetness with a strong presence behind, clean finish and lingering aftertaste, and a slight bitterness that lingers at the bottom. The back of the bottle says it is an assemblage of junmai-shu and junmai-daiginjo brewed with Kyoto-grown sake rice (celebratory rice and gohyakumangoku rice). And today, August 14, I'm going to Kanazawa's Daigo for a Sake Katsudo 🚄. Will update in real time if possible: ✨️ The 4th picture is the "Yaki Saba Oroshi Soba" which I had before going to Kanazawa 😋 delicious!
