In the sea of Kujukuri, which I had always wanted to visit.
On the memorable day I went surfing for the first time in my life,
I finished the day with a glass of Kujukuri's local sake. 🏄♀️
At a bar in Gotanda.
Aroma of refined rice and alcohol.
It is a traditional aromatic dry sake.
It has a strong flavor and is perfect with menchikatsu.
Great with side dishes.
It would also be good warmed up.
Ume Ichirin Shiboritate Nama-shu Ginjo Shinshu 800 yen (4-pack bottle)
I went to the liquor store to reserve my annual sake nouveau and found a very cheap sake 👀3 discount because it has been standing for 10 months! Eh~560 yen‼️ off the shelf is fine.
I thought it might be a bit of a buzzkill since it is an old sake, but the initial attack was a strong feeling of rice, and the heavy flavor after less than a year is unexpectedly GOOD!
Today's entrée is a new menu item, myoga tsukune and celery tsukune. ‼️ This heavy sake goes well with the strong aroma of the entrée. 💕︎
We had planned to go to Miyakojima Island today, but typhoon No. 6 hit the island, so we had to change our destination to the Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture at a moment's notice.
We decided to have a BBQ at a glamping on the first day, and since we were going to be there, we decided to have a local sake, so we had Ume Ichirin from Sanmushi in Yamatake City, Chiba Prefecture. It is a local sake from Kujukuri.
The taste is orthodox, with just the right amount of sourness and bitterness to make it refreshing and easy to drink. It tastes even better outdoors.
Good morning, kiko 😃.
It's hard to adjust when typhoon 🌀 messes up your itinerary 😱.
Miyakojima to Boso is a big swing, but BBQ and local sake is nice 🤗.
Thank you for your message, Jay & Nobby😊I was looking forward to Miyakojima and was disappointed, but Boso is also quite enjoyable with its sea and mountains. We also enjoy the rare local sake 👍.
My sake-loving colleague 👦 gave me a gift, as he had been to a sake brewery. It was just as Ko-san said, easy to drink but with an astringent taste afterwards. It is a food sake. I'm going to try it again after a few days 😅.
Light like water.
Slightly astringent aftertaste
Easy to drink on the palate, but there is an aftertaste, so it's not the same as being able to gobble it down.
