Last day of May! May has come and gone in the blink of an eye...no! It can't end yet! Let's drink! That's why I opened the bottle of Oyomori we received 🍶. Shikumo. When I got it, I thought "is it incense?" It was a refreshing aroma when I opened the glass 👍and the crisp taste was so delicious - I had it with grilled salmon 🐟✨✨. The alcohol content is 15 degrees. It was refreshing and delicious! June starts tomorrow ☔☔.

Niigata travel sake! Next up is Taiyozakari😄 a sake from Murakami that we don't usually see here, but we know it's good (lol). The aroma is also mild, and when you drink it, it has less sweetness than Hokusetsu and goes in easily. It has a subtle umami flavor and finishes quickly. This is a dry sake! It's so good! I drank it all up in no time. I felt deeply that I really like this kind of sake. I really wanted to drink more, but I had to hold off because I had to drive the next day. I was satisfied because both drinks were delicious! The next day we went to Yahiko Shrine and took the ropeway. It was great to see Sado Island. On the way back, we stopped at a liquor store to pick up some souvenirs😄It was a short trip, but a fun one!

At the place where we are staying 🍶. Tonight we will be serving with bamboo shoots. It is a junmai sake with a strong taste of rice, but with a restrained aroma. I think Taiyozakari's Shikumo was a brand limited to special dealers in the prefecture. I like the concept of "fresh rotation" ✨and "local production for local consumption". I thought it was a rival to the freshly squeezed Shiboritate from Murakami, but my impression was very different 🤔. It has a cream soda-like top, fresh, melon, a little estery. The astringent and pungent taste in the latter half of the bottle is very strong, but it is also 15%, so it doesn't hit you as hard as the Shimebari Tsuru. It has a strong alcoholic taste and is very strong, so it is not as easy to drink.... It's like an everyday Niigata sake ❕. It went perfectly with the flounder👍 (Served at ✖️😅)
