2022-20 Beautiful Kyoto Sake
This is a gift and is from the Jurakudai brewery of Kuranosuke Sasaki's family. The label is also beautiful.
The first day, it is clear and transparent, and when you drink it cold, you will get drunk before you know it.
The third day, it became cold, so I drank it hot. This is good. It warms up without breaking down too much, just the way it is.
The seventh day: It is still beautiful and goes well with food, making it a versatile type of sake.

The title of the label was written by Yasunari Kawabata.
He praised the Sasaki Sake Brewery's sake, saying, "The flavor of this sake is the taste of Kyoto," and wrote "Ancient Capital" for his work.
In Kawabata Yasunari's novel "Ancient Capital", the scene of cherry blossoms at Heian Shrine is glossy and full of Kyoto's atmosphere, and this "Ancient Capital" special pure rice sake is calm and nourishing.
This "Ancient Capital" special junmai is calm and nourishing. It is not flashy or sweet, but rather has the wabi and sabi of a dry landscape.
The quietness of the appearance had an opposite impact on me.

We also tried it lukewarm (40°C) and it was good.
On a weekday off, I visited the Kanagawa Museum of Modern Literature in Yokohama.
The exhibition was held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of Yasunari Kawabata.
The exhibition was quite extensive, with a focus on autograph manuscripts and letters.
I felt the breath and greatness of not only Kawabata Yasunari but also other writers of the Showa period in the letters that they exchanged in their daily life.
I felt the deep bond between Kawabata and Riichi Yokomitsu, whose letters were kept in each other's possession, and the greatness of Kawabata's writing.
The eulogy for Riichi Yokomitsu once again touched my heart.
I could imagine that Yasunari Kawabata gave his eulogy with all his heart and soul.

I'm too old to eat meals that I have to work hard for.
I thought I should order only what I want to eat. I'm too lazy to order a variety of food.
In the midst of all this, I also ordered some sake. We had a bottle of sake from actor Kuranosuke Sasaki's family's home in Hiya. Hmmm...I don't think it goes well with yakiniku. I mean...it's hard to give a correct review until I drink it a little more calmly.
On a sunny autumn day, we had a great time biking around our own high school and the surrounding area.
