You can feel a slight sweetness of rice, not that much sweetness, but it remains moderately sweet. I would like to pair it with fish. It can be grilled or simmered.
It has a unique bitter taste. This sake is excellent when paired with Kagoshima's sweet sashimi soy sauce and sashimi.
Blue and white fish go best with Kagoshima sashimi soy sauce!
A social gathering with my fellow participants from the Kyushu training program 🍻.
Tenshin's Tokujun was so delicious that I bought a bottle of Jun Dai and brought it with me 🍶.
It was a little refreshing and easy to drink ❗It was delicious, but the taste of Tokujun had a big impact on me! I guess the concept of the label is to drink it in a clean and quiet environment! I would certainly like to drink it slowly every day!
Both grilled and boiled gyoza at a gyoza restaurant near the training center were too good 🥟 There was a long queue!
Good evening, Jay & Nobby 😃.
I was surprised to see some of you from Tochigi prefecture at this training and also a senior of mine from my school days 😲.
Of course we want to eat Utsunomiya Gyoza and get drunk on delicious local sake 😆.
A local sake brewery. The label is summery with goldfish on the back.
When we opened the bottle, it had a fresh and gorgeous aroma that was unique to Tenshin. The flavor was clean, but with a deep sweetness that went well with the salty yuzu pepper flavor.
Last week I spent a week in Fukuoka on a business trip.
I went with a colleague who loves to drink, so we were busy, busy, busy.
We drank and drank. I was very satisfied.
The photo shows Tenshin, a famous sake from Kokura, which I drink at my regular hotel.
This is another stable sake, as usual.
Souvenirs were Wakanami, Shichida, Matsuura Ichi, and Kitaya. The usual lineup.
I have come to visit Kyushu by chance, and Kyushu is not only good for shochu, but also for sake.
(To be honest, I drank only Kurokiri during my stay.)
Good evening, Matsuchiyo-san.
Thank you very much.
A reluctant choice, I think so myself.
But Wakanami is a 70% polished honjozo, and it is a surprisingly easy-drinking, modern sake.
It seemed a little heavy in the mouth at first, but it was not heavy at all, but rather light. I tried it cold, but it seemed to have more flavor when heated.
