RoyskiI picked up Eiko's Nigori at a souvenir shop near Dogo Onsen. I was delighted with it, and I realized the warehouse was a short walk away, so I went. Through my little Japanese, I expressed my enjoyment and desire to try something special. They recommended Fresh Green, a limited yearly release.
It was a delightful sake! Light and crisp with a lovely gentle sweetness. A perfect touch of acidity. Everyone I shared this with at the guest house was enjoying it, from sake lovers to new drinkers.
RoyskiI say this on a shelf of a souvenir shop near Dogo Onsen. it caught my eye since I was in the mood for a nigori, and the way this looked while separated made it seem thick. As a bonus, it's from just down the street.
Wow this sake is thick. There is a lot of mouth feel from the rice particles, but in a pleasant way. It is very creamy. The sweetness isn't too strong and didn't linger. A heavy feeling easy to drink nigori. paired well with the salt and iyokan peel chocolate too.
