It had been a while since I had been to Suwa, and I saw a sake brewery that I was not familiar with. I thought it was quite expensive, but when I had it with dinner, it tasted great and was worth the price. I took it home and enjoyed it. Suwa Miyamanishiki has a strong sweetness, but I am curious about other brands.
This is another sake I bought in Aomori.
I bought this sake because I like sake with wine yeast, but this one has a lot of acidity. It is fruity and sweet, but the acidity gives it a refreshing impression.
It seems like a juice, so you can enjoy it on its own!
Junmai Ginjo Nama Shu
It has a robust taste, gorgeous, mildly sweet and mellow, with a hint of freshness.
Every time I go to Gunma, I buy Asama Shuzo's sake!
As it is called "super-harsh junmai," it has no aroma that would interfere with a meal, and the mouthfeel is mellow, making it a very good sake for a meal.
I bought it at a commercial supermarket for 1,380 yen.
I've had it occasionally at the store, but this was my first time buying it, and it's safe to say it's delicious and easy to drink! Even people who don't drink much sake appreciated how easy it was to drink. It's good with food.
I wonder if it's because it's a kulyanto that the drink is fresh and sweet but has a kind of bitterness that goes down your throat. I like it very much.
