Got this on a trip to Sanin/Kyushu last month!
The postponed brewery opening happened to be held, so I joined and bought it on the way to Dazaifu. We will have it with the Narazuke that we bought together👍.
When you open the bottle and pour it, you can smell the fragrant woody aroma! The color is a little ochre and it feels like you are in a hinoki bath.
It reminds me of the "Shinmasa" series that I drank at a festival at the end of last year, but this one has a much stronger aroma.
It is smooth on the palate, but has a slightly mellow sweetness. The barrel aroma mixed in with this gives it a mildly sweet aroma and flavor.
The combination of the relaxed sake quality of "Tamade-sen" and the barrels. There was a steady stream of people buying it, which is understandable ✨.
And it blends so well with the salty taste of the Nara pickles and the sake lees, your chopsticks just won't stop!
I can't get to Kyushu very often, but I hope to revisit the Futsukaichi Onsen and Dazaifu area again someday 🙂.
learning from the past
Adventure⛑The oldest brewery in Fukuoka Prefecture
TAMA direct draft sake brewed by Ohga Shuzo
Yamadanishiki Polishing 60
Fukuoka's oldest brewery, so I'll buy it!
I thought lightly, but...
When it was snow-cold, there was no aroma at all.
When it cools down, the fruity aroma is nice ☺️.
First day hearing was too hard...
Strong flavor, energetic. Fought with salted squid from Yobuko lol
The second day, so much change 😂.
I'm so tsundere!
Similar to Nabeshima Purple (Jungin), but more mellow and dry with a wider range of snacks. Smile for fresh tomatoes too! It even managed to respond to the Iki beef😊👍.
Its a thin macho with shallow depth.
Thank you 🙇♀️✨ for making sake even better after 10 days of being back in society.
Aroma: lime, syrup, slight muscat
Taste: soft, gentle sweetness, quickly changing to a dry finish
Not too persistently sweet, which gives the impression of being suitable for everyone.
Cured ham, salami, olive oil-based pasta

Newly brewed Tamadezumi🍶 purchased at the opening of the Ohga Sake Brewery.
The color has a very slight yellow tinge. The aroma is of rice. If it is called fruity, it seems to be just a little bit fruity. The taste is clean and a little dry. I don't like dry sake, but I enjoyed it 🙂.
We decided to finish off the last glass with a new sake (right side of the first picture).
This is the most fruity sake so far👍.
Freshness of new sake, light spiciness, fruity juiciness like green apples...probably the most balanced of the five!
After tasting the sake and buying the limited-edition sake barrels and Nara-zuke, we departed for Dazaifu. I'm glad I got to attend the kurabiraki festival, even if it was just by chance!
There was a lively crowd of locals, young and old 😌.
Good evening, Haruei Chichi!
I was enjoying the Futsukaichi - Dazaifu area, although only for one night ✨.
Even though the brewery opening happened to be postponed and was today, it was great to be with the locals👍.
The fourth cup is a "Tamadezumi" unpasteurized sake! (First picture, left side)
The sweetness is even richer than the previous "Ooga Unfiltered Nama"!
However, as you savor it, the acidity and pungency slowly come from the back, along with a hint of shiitake mushroom-like aroma.
The coffee milk-like aftertaste is impressive ✨.
Second glass of nigori sake from "Tamade Izumi"! (First picture on the right)
The mouthfeel is chili-chili spicy.
It is generally smooth, but on the other hand, it has a softness typical of nigori sake, like eating ramune ice cream👍.
Delicious and drinkable like water. It is said to be in the dry and light category, but it has no peculiarities and is light. It seems to be a favorite among beginners.
