Found this at Mitsuwa and had to buy it because of how much my husband loves Inari and her messengers. I shared this with Eddy, Grace, Andy, Carol, and Tom at our welcome back dinner after we got home from Japan.
It was balanced and nicely floral! I enjoyed it but don’t think I would buy it again unless it’s on a really great sale. $50 is a lot for a bottle and I’ve had sakes I’ve enjoyed more that are much cheaper.

Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Fukuro-tori Nama Storage Sake 100% Yamadanishiki
Purchased at the basement of Namba Takashimaya Department Store.
I was attracted by the strong brand name "Kirin" 😅.
Reasonably priced brand called Kambara 😳 There are two types of sake rice, Yamadanishiki and Takananishiki.
I was intrigued by the two types of rice, Yamada Nishiki and Takane Nishiki...tasted 😅.
The Takananishiki had a little bit of a peculiarity in the middle of the taste buds.
I was not used to drinking it, so I bought the Yamadanishiki 😋.
Aroma is slightly good, weak pungency to slight sweetness.
The spiciness of the base appears stronger and stronger, and then it cuts out 😊 It was a delicious sake with a good cost performance 😊.
It was a great sake at a good price 😋 Thank you for the treat 😋.

Kambara Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Bagged Raw Raw Sake Takane Nishiki
I regretted not buying this "Kambara" after tasting it in the previous "Sake Tour".
On the way back from the "Traveling Sake" tour, bouken-san gave me information about a sake tasting at the Hanshin Department Store, so I was able to buy it.
I had it cold.
The aroma was deep with a mixture of alkaloa and sweet ginjo aroma.
The mouthfeel is clear with a mineral-like hardness, but it changes from gentle sweetness to sweet bitterness.
As the temperature rises, the initial bitterness gives way to a rich umami.
It has a full-bodied flavor.
The umami slowly sinks in, while the bitterness continues slightly and finishes with a sharp finish.
It seems that opinions are divided on whether it is rich umami or dry, but this is a strange taste.
It has a strong umami and a persistent bitterness, yet it finishes with a nice sharpness, so it must be perceived differently by each individual.
Ingredients: rice (domestic), rice malt (domestic)
Rice used: 100% Takane-Nishiki
Rice polishing ratio:50%.
Alcohol content: 16%.

I bought this sake because it was on sale at a discount price at a nearby supermarket.
I was expecting a light and dry sake from Niigata, but it was the exact opposite.
It was so rich and juicy that it made me think it was a bit heavy, so a small amount was enough to satisfy me.
It would be rude to call it unexpected, but it was a delicious sake.

This is a sake I have had before, but the bottle was mis-handled and I never got to make an entry here. This, this was long awaited, as I remember this sake being the first filtered sake I really enjoyed.
This sake holds up to my memory. On the front, it is softly sweet, like cotton candy grapes. Holds a medium body as the sweetness fades to a gentle sour. It finishes with a gentle bite and a flavor similar to zabaglione.
This was a fantastic sake to delight my new sake drinker friends.
