Choyo Fukumusume's summer sake has a cute label depicting a woman in a yukata drinking sake while on a flyboard and a cat floating in the air on the same flyboard.
There was also a summer-early sake, but this one is in the middle of summer.
It was a refreshing summer sake with a fruity pear-like aroma.
I guess it's like drinking a toast with this summer sake after being active and working up a good sweat.
It is important to create an image from the label.

My first brand in a long time, Choyo Fukumusume from Hagi, Yamaguchi Prefecture. I had been curious about it for a while, and finally was able to pick it up.
Slightly effervescent to the point of being felt on the tongue, with a restrained sweetness and a firm, dry feel on the palate. You can enjoy the bitter aftertaste. It is not too refreshing, but has a full-bodied flavor, which is unexpectedly my favorite type of sake. This sake is a model of what a dry sake should be.

This is a limited edition sake from a liquor store that I always visit when I go back to my hometown! I think there are many honjozo that I don't like, but this one is good.

I enjoyed Active Sky so much that I bought this one, which is more summery. The label is cute and fresh, just like summer.
The aroma has a hint of apple and grape fruit and a clean acidity.
I wondered if it was fruity and sweet. When you take a sip, it is not that sweet.
It is fire-brewed, but the mouthfeel is soft and smooth. For a moment, a deep sweetness comes...? But before the sweetness is felt, it is taken away by an apple-like sourness.
It has a light umami flavor and finishes with a nice crispness. This is just right for a summer sake.
As the day goes by, the impression does not change that much, but it seems to be a little more grapefruit-like. The end of the bottle has a slight bitterness, and it becomes more dry and refreshing.
As per the concept of CWS, I enjoyed it with summer meals without thinking too much about it.

I bought this as a souvenir for a legal trip home. It was left at room temperature in the souvenir corner, but it had a "gassy" feel to it, so I half expected it and went back to Tokyo with high hopes.
I chilled it and drank it cold and...oh! It is quite delicious. It has a gassy, sweet and sake-like taste, but it is easy to drink.
We are looking forward to more sake from Hagi!
