It has a clean aroma and a clear mouthfeel. It flows smoothly on the tongue, revealing a gentle umami flavor, and then finishes crisp and clean. It is a dry sake that lives up to its title.

I told the proprietress at the inn in Ikaho what I liked and she recommended Funataki, which I enjoyed with my meal. I decided to buy this brand for sure.
It has just the right spiciness and aroma for a mid-meal drink, and it goes down smoothly.
I saw a sign near the Mizusawa Udon Road, so I went to see the waterfall as well.

After the clear ginjo aroma, the mouthfeel is smooth and thick. It is neither too light nor too heavy, and in addition to the throat, it also comes down the esophagus and into the stomach with a heavy weight.
The aroma and taste could only come from the addition of alcohol.
The recent brewing alcohol is not bad at all, and I feel that junmai is not the only type of sake that can be used. This is the third local sake I drank during my trip to Gunma Prefecture.

I was curious about it, so I bought some to try.
Is it because it is Maikaze?
Not too sweet, clear acidity.
The bitterness is moderate.
I can also taste the umami of the rice.
It might be good.

It has been more than a decade since my wife and I have had a drink together at an inn in Ikaho.
It was only because our sons have grown up that we finally had this kind of time.
It is an izakaya named Hitomotoko, located on the first floor of a long-established ryokan called Tenbo.
I told them I wanted a junmai local sake, which was not on the menu, and this is what I got.
What a beautiful blue bottle.
It was light and a bit dry, like old-fashioned sake.
Still, I wanted a local sake, so I was satisfied!
