The 22nd Hankyu Brewery Festival (9)
The Kagatsuru booth.
It was my first time to visit this brewery, and the people there were not very familiar with events and business.
They were promoting Kaga Tea Sake, but I didn't go through with that.
Toshiie Maeda Special Junmai
Sake made from 60% polished rice. Sake is loose, clear, and refreshing.
Junmai Ginjo
A white sake with a fruity but acidic and spicy aftertaste. Fruity, but with a refreshing acidity and a spicy aftertaste.
Junmai Kamisen
A very good rice flavor, with a little bit of spiciness. This was my favorite.
The brewery explained that it is made by the Noto Touji, a master brewer, and that it has a lot of rich umami flavors.
Later, bouken-san asked me, "Wasn't the amount of sake poured for the tasting too little? I thought it was indeed a small amount and it was hard to understand...

Kagatsuru-san was the only one I saw for the first time this time.
They didn't seem to be accustomed to participating in such events.
They were pushing a black tea liquor, which I didn't drink.
I drank
Toshiie Maeda Special Junmai
Sake of a refreshing type
Junmai Ginjo
Clear and fruity
Junmai Josen
It is rare to find a junmai sake labeled as josen.
This one had the most robust flavor. Unlike the image on the label, it has a slightly fruity taste.
The amount of sake they gave us was less than other breweries, so it was hard to check the taste 😅.
This Kagatsuru Junmai Ginjo was purchased on a trip to Kanazawa.
It was also purchased as a donation to support the Noto Peninsula earthquake recovery efforts.
Sake I hooked up with on a trip to Kanazawa.
It was delicious.
Ingredients : Rice (domestic), Rice malt (domestic)
Alcohol content : 15
Content : 180ml
Production Date : 2024.5
I purchased this sake at the brewery during a sightseeing tour of Kaga.
It is a non-sweet sake with a sake degree of +1.
As a food sake, it seems to create the atmosphere of the occasion. As the name suggests, it is a good-natured brotherly sake of Lord Toshiie.
Kagatsuru
A cup served at a sake party to support the Noto Peninsula earthquake recovery efforts.
It is refreshing and easy to drink. Delicious when chilled.
