Garden Gnatcatcher Junmai Daiginjo Kurogu
Delicious with a refined aroma and a slight sweetness.
The superb delicacy heshiko saba (mackerel) will make your sake soar.
I have been curious about this brand ever since I missed it on a trip to Fukuoka. It was an easy-drinking sake with a mellow mouthfeel, sweetness and umami.
At first glance, the menu is a mystery: a set of senmai sashimi and a cup of garden warbler for 1,000 yen.
But when I paired them together, I was convinced. The senmai sashimi is served with sesame oil and salt, and the crisp, dry sake neutralizes the oil in the mouth. It also went well with the eel sushi served as an appetizer.
Uguisu in the garden: Shunyo, 4,180 yen

The rice is Shunyo, the same as Raifuku's Muscat, so I'm excited!
The aroma is ginjo aroma💜A little bit of muscat, maybe? The initial attack is smooth but the sweetness comes through and is later blended with a lighter dry bitterness that lingers for a long time 😊I don't think there is much muscat flavor ❓ but it's usually delicious 😋.
