Sweet and refreshing scent✨
Soft and light 🎵
Full of sweetness and flavor 😋.
Sourness comes lightly in the second half 😳
A clean finish that disappears nicely 😄
We were at a tasting and sales event at the sake department of "Yoshike" in Okachimachi, and asked "Do you have any nama-shu? I asked them if they had any fresh sake, and they recommended this freshly squeezed raw sake.
The label depicts Tokamachi's national treasure, the Kaen-gata Jomon pottery.
We paired it with a motsu nabe (hot pot).
Speaking of freshly squeezed raw sake in this season, I prefer to drink SNAKEIHARIZURU, but Tenjinbayashi's sake is also very smooth and rich with 20 degrees alcohol by volume, which made me drink a four-pack. It was a dangerous sake 😅.
The origin of the sake name "Tenjinbayashi" is a celebratory song in the Uonuma area of Niigata Prefecture, sung at weddings and banquets.
It is sung at weddings and banquets. It has a unique beauty of style, and when chanted in unison, it is a move that raises the tension of the banquet hall.
100% Koshitanrei, 50% polished rice, 15% alcohol by volume
The flavor of rice is robust, with a strong alcohol taste and a traditional feel. When heated, it becomes sweet and goes well with miso.
Purchased at Yoshiike
I had been to a Niigata antenna store in Ginza to search for sake that suited my tastes (?). I found it on the list, so I bought it.
I usually drink fresh sake, so this is a different type, but it's perfect for a mealtime drink!
I was surprised that it was only a little over 1000 yen!
It is a sake from Tokamachi, Niigata Prefecture. It had a clean and refreshing taste with no cloying flavor. I heard it is called "umami" which is rare in Niigata Prefecture.
Thank you for the sake.
Congratulations on your 500 check-ins, Mr. Kappukku! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I always enjoy reading your posts 🙏.
As expected of Niigata, the Honjozo seems to be very refreshing and easy to drink 😊.
Thanks again for your comments, Ponchan. I had missed the 500 check-ins myself! However, I have not yet conquered the map of Japan, so I will be diligent. Please keep up the good work!
Ponshukan Nagaoka Eki Store Drinking Grui 15 drinks.
7th last month. This is the last one.
I chose this one because I had a chance to see it at a roadside station and a liquor store when I came from Tokamachi area.
Once I experienced this place, I strongly thought that I would like to visit again next time.
After this, we purchased some Niigata sake and returned to the hotel. I returned safely without damaging it.
The spoils of my trip to Niigata: Tenjinbayashi, an aromatic rice syrup that I've been curious about for a while? Sweet! The mouthfeel...sweet! The aftertaste is a little bitter, but...yes! Delicious 😋17 degrees will come afterwards....moderately intoxicating 😋 I'm sipping it with yakitori and seasonal okra....sipping it sipping it sipping it sipping it sipping it sipping it!
