Visiting the Five Storehouses of Kami-suwa (1) Maihime
Shinshu Maihime Ougen label Junmai Ginjo Summer Goldfish
The aroma is of muscat, and the taste is moderate, with the umami coming later. The finish is crisp and accented with bitterness.
(2) Suiro Junmai Ginjo Natural
Smooth taste with a fruity sweet and sour flavor. However, it is not overly sweet, and the final taste is calm and lingering, with a good aroma and aftertaste.
Shinshu Maihime Junmai Daiginjo Omachi Chikuhime
It has the strongest aroma and fruity sweetness. The sweetness permeates the palate, spreading out just like the aroma. The umami of the rice lingers in the mouth for quite a long time.
Shinshu Maaihime Junmai Daiginjyo Harasake Miyamanishiki Polishing 49
It has a firm acidity, which is followed by a full-bodied and mild taste. It is the heaviest due to the fact that it is a pure sake.
(5) Suiro Junmai Daiginjyo Yamadanishiki Polishing 39, unfiltered, unadulterated, pure sake
Compared to the other two, this one has a sourness that goes through the nose. It is also light on the palate and goes down the throat quickly, but after that you can feel the alcohol taste.
In my opinion, I prefer ➂. Maihime is the most well-balanced and easy to drink among the five breweries in terms of both aroma and taste.
Suwa Gozo Sake Brewery Tour (1)
The long-awaited Suwa Sake Brewery Tour 🍶👣.
There are five breweries within a 500-meter radius along the Koshu-kaido Road, about a 5-minute walk from Kamisuwa Station.
You can buy a Gokuraku set (3,000 yen) at any of the breweries. It includes a mini bag, a souvenir glass, a sticker mount, and a stamp coupon.
Then you get a box containing 5 cups to start!
First, we start with Maihime.
Put the coins you got and about 20 ml from the server into the cups.

I bought 500ml here!
Hi Takashi 🐦.
This is a lot of fun 😆 You can choose 4 or 5 kinds of drinks from several kinds available! It's a little bit at a time, but it's quite a lot if you go to all five breweries 😁If you have a chance, please do 😊.
Hello😃I hope you enjoy your trip to the five Suwa breweries! If you have time, I also recommend Shimosuwa, where the Mikotsuru brewery and other breweries are located 😸.
Good evening, Pon 😃I see you made it to Nagano Prefecture. That's a very nice sake brewery tour 😊I'm planning to go to Ueda in Nagano for the Bon holidays too, and this one in Suwa is also very attractive✨.
Good evening, Pon 😃.
Oooh! Your wish has come true 🤗 Sounds like a fun brewery tour! I went to Lake Suwa for fun when I was in Nagano, but I wish I had known the wonders of sake then 😫 😢 but I'm sure I will go 🤭.
Good evening, Pon-chan 🌛.
I'm so drunk on the sake brewery tour in Suwa Lake 😁.
I drank a lot of local sake when I went to see "Gokamigatari" a long time ago, but I had no idea that I was drinking "Yokobue", "Honkin", and "Masumi"💦.
I wish I could go back ✨.
Hi Shota 🐦.
I see you made it to Kiyosato 😳👍
I went to Shimosuwa and wanted to stop by Mikotsuru, but I was too scared of my husband's eyes to tell him 🤣Nigori is also 3 times through in front of me 😂.
Hi, Waka 🐦.
I see you are going to Ueda! I like it 🥹and the townscape is nice ✨Enjoy your visit 🎶.
The brewery tour itself can be done in an hour and a half to two hours, and Suwa-taisha shrine is also nice! By all means 😊.
Hi Jay & Nobby 🐦.
If you are going to Ueda, you should definitely go to Suwa as well! You can enjoy visiting the breweries and Suwa-taisha shrine 😊There were more visitors than I expected, probably because it is still so close to the Kanto area😳.
Hi Jive 🐦.
You're right! Already experienced it 😆 You got to see the Mikami crossing 🧊 jealous ✨I wonder if I'll see it before I die 🤣.
Next time you go there, please do a gutsy tour of the warehouses 😁.
Purchased on a trip to Suwa to visit a brewery.
It was tasted and tasted good, so it was safe to say it was delicious.
I was told that it tastes better when well chilled, so I did exactly that. It was a good sake, easy to match with anything.
This is another one I bought as a souvenir for myself on a previous trip. I bought it because I liked the name.
I had it with Hokuriku sashimi. It was refreshing and delicious!
This sake is made by Maihime in Suwa, Shinshu.
It has a subtle sweetness, umami, and acidity, and tastes great down the throat. It can be served with both fish and meat.
Repeat trip to Suwa Gozakura 🍶🙌
If you fall in love twice, you can go to ❤️
Not so much ❗️😆
A little better 🎵
I had a good time ✌️
We started with Maihime👸💃.
I enjoyed 5 different kinds of drinks...
I bought this one other than the 5 types.
I bought this at Tsuruya in front of Shimosuwa station.
Potato chips @ apple butter flavor 🍎 to accompany hotel drinks
The Princess lives up to its name,
Elegant and fragrant Junmai Ginjo sweetness and
The sweetness of the refined and fragrant Junmai Ginjo and the superb marriage of Shiyoppa fruity Potato Chips💕.
Although it appeals to women with its drinkability, it is by no means low-alcohol.
It's not low-alcoholic by any means. ‼️
It's a drink too chui sake 🍶 and a slow one too 😁.
I guess it's hard to find in Tokyo 🤔.
Hi Matsuchiyo 😁.
I can make a day trip from there, but I have to decide whether to go 🚃 or 🚗. I wanted to take it home anyway 🚗⚡️ so I endured 4 hours 💦 of traffic jam on the way home on the Chuo highway 😆.
