Gokujo Yoshinogawa Ginjyo Nama-no-Hara Sake
Yoshinogawa is a sake brewery in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture.
Gohyakumangoku" rice from Niigata Prefecture is polished to 55%.
Fresh and refreshing aroma, mellow rice flavor, deep and gentle taste.

This time we have another one, a special junmai from Gokujo Yoshinogawa.
This sake is from Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture.
I wandered over to Umeda Hankyu and found Yoshinogawa on tap,
Niigata is known for its "Gohyakumangoku" (five hundred million stone)! I'm taking it home with me to study up on Niigata sake, which I haven't had much of.
I drink it cold.
It has a crystal, slightly green and yellow appearance.
The nose is fresh, with grapefruit, banana, blue melon, and cypress nuances.
The mouthfeel is smooth. The taste is sweet and delicious with a slight banana flavor, with a gentle acidity, a mild bitterness and a lingering astringent aftertaste like the aftertaste of bananas.
The taste is light and dry with a sense of rice that is typical of Niigata.
It won the gold medal in the national heated sake contest, so we tried it heated.
Wow! Light and refreshing taste from the aroma of freshly cooked rice. Lightly heated sake!
The fact that it's so light but still has a lot of body is probably due to the riceiness at its core.
I mistakenly thought this sake was made with Yamada-Nishiki and made using the raw yeast method.
My sake tasting ability has not improved at all😭.
Putting all that aside.
Let's enjoy it with watermelon chips I found at Donki!

Special Junmai and Junmai Ginjo
I received a set of three bottles. I thought I would keep this size for an offering, but I drank two of them in the order of the highest to lowest rice polishing ratio.
I will offer the other bottle as an offering.
I think Gokujo Yoshinogawa is the type of sake that you can easily buy and drink, but I hope the ancestors and the gods will be satisfied with the taste.

I asked for cold sake and got a 300 ml bottle.
I thought it was a bit much.
but it was good enough to drink up!

Drank as a food sake, it is very pleasant on the palate, with a sweetness that is almost melon-like at the start.
However, the sweetness does not linger, and after a slight alcohol sensation that reminds you that it is sake, it too disappears with little or no aftertaste.
The sweetness may linger in the sake by itself, but in a mealtime sake, both the sweetness and the alcohol feeling have a very weak aftertaste, so it can be easily reset by simply eating something.
It would be a very easy sake to drink.

I had to go back to my parents' house and stayed there for 5 days and am going home today 🏠.

The aroma is fruity and the sake level is +2 degrees, but the sweetness of the rice makes it easy to drink ✨I'll drink a little bit until I get to Tokyo station 😄.
