The bright emerald green label of this bottle is cool and evocative of the early summer breeze. The transparency of the bottle and the condensation combine to create a refreshing visual effect, as if a cold creek were trapped directly in the bottle.
The aroma is fruity and refreshing, reminiscent of green apples and pineapples. In the mouth, the soft sweetness is accompanied by a tart acidity that melts into the palate, leaving a very light feeling down the throat. The lingering bitterness of pink grapefruit was also pleasant, and the coolness increased with each sip.
The alcohol content is light at 13%, but the flavor has a firm profile and is fully satisfying as a summer sake. It is a perfect bottle to be enjoyed crisp and cool on a hot day, and the word "clear" is exactly right for it.
I've been drinking a lot of beer lately,
I've been drinking beer lately, but I've been drinking a little sake as well. ☺️
I'm drawn to the blue stuff 💙!
I'm drawn to the blue ones 💙.
Transparent with a light yellowish tinge
Unctuous pear-like fruit aroma
Elegant sweetness and freshness that matches the image of the aroma
Soft on the tongue
The lingering flavors are pleasant.
A great work of art that is very elegant and well-balanced without being overpowering in any way.
You could drink it every day and not get tired of drinking it.
Would be good as an aperitif.
I like it a lot!
9.2 The aroma is grapey, apple-like, and medium to full-bodied, yet light and fresh.
The aroma is melon-like, with a medium level of sweetness that is not fruity, but rather a soft sweetness inherent to rice.
Finally, it disappears without a sound with a slight astringency. It is delicious. It has a polished feel.
The taste is similar to that of Kafuda Sake Beni Kikyo, which I like. The fruity taste is a little less than that of Kafuda Sake Benihana Kikyo.
Good evening! 🙋
Today is a refreshingly sunny day here on the coast of Iwate Prefecture.
On a day like this, I would like to relax, take it easy and drink in the daytime without thinking about anything, but that's not going to happen. 😅
The day ended with moving around here and there. (Chuckles).
Now, I drank SAKURA by Akabu at home a while ago.
When I took a sip, it had a light acidity and a hint of sweetness that made me think of cherry blossoms.
It balances nicely and makes you happy. 😄
My wife repeats "It's delicious" and drinks it smoothly.
It was very delicious! 👍
P.S.
The fourth photo is a sake barrel seen from the reception of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, which we visited a while ago.
A great number of dedicated brands are lined up.
From Iwate Prefecture, Nanbu Bijin and Drunken Sen.
Niimasa from Akita Prefecture.
Takashimizu is used for the sacred sake.
When you open a bottle of Goshinzake, it has a very good ginjo aroma and is full of it...😅
This GW, I drove home from Toyama to Yokohama for the first time in a while. From Toyama, drive south on Route 41 via the Awa Tunnel to the Matsumoto IC to Yokohama.
On the way, I enjoyed soaking in hot springs in Okuhida (Norikura and Hirayu), encountering Japanese monkeys, and buying koshibara, kogomi, and honwasabi (Japanese horseradish) at a roadside station to eat at my parents' house.
The sake to be paired with this dish is Akabu's Yunokou.
It is made with Yunokou from Iwate Prefecture, with 50% polished rice and 15% alcohol by volume. It is a sake with flavor and sharpness, just like Akabu. It is a stable sake.
