#Funabori#
I found a bottle of Fukushima's "popular one" that I saw in a comment at a liquor store in Yodobashi on a business trip to Osaka the other day, and bought it without thinking about the extra luggage.
Star connection? Opened today on Tanabata day😅.
I guess the rice polishing ratio is 60%, which means it's junmai ginjo?
Not too sweet, not too spicy, and we enjoyed it with our meal 😆.

You can find this sake at Popular Ichi-haya, and you can also find it at Yodobaya, where it is labeled as a collaboration with Tsuburaya Productions.
They are particular about using wooden vats made entirely of Yoshinosugi cedar. They are particular about using all Yoshino cedar wooden vats, and there are no more wooden vats being made.
Popular Ichi Junmai Ginjo Natsusei
It is refreshing but has a sticky texture on the tongue. It is rather sweet and delicious.
Popular Ichi Modern Classic Junmai Daiginjo Unfiltered Nama
Easy to drink, full of flavor and richness.
Popular Ichi Rice Magic Sparkling Red
A gold medal-winning sake in the premium sparkling category at the Wineglass Delicious Sake Awards 2024.
It is made from ancient rice and has 8% alcohol by volume and -70% sake.
It is sweet and sour, but the secondary fermentation in the bottle keeps it from being too sticky and sweet.
Popular Ichi Wooden Oke Brewing Ginjo.
Low impact and not very memorable 💦.
Popular Ichi Kuropopia Junmai Ginjo
Not my favorite, not much umami.
I asked if they had any Tsuburaya Productions labeled sake. When I asked if they had any Tsuburaya Productions label, they went to the back of the booth and gave me a pamphlet 😁.

Popular Ichi is a sake that you can find at Yodobashi and ●Maya, but rarely drink. The president of Okunomatsu and Popular Ichi are said to be brothers.
I have the impression that they produce a lot of sake in collaboration with Tsuburaya Productions and Godzilla.
I drank
Junmai Ginjo Natsusei
They said it was unfiltered. It was sweet and rather fruity.
I liked it a lot, but the second half was a little messy.
Modern Classic Junmai Daiginjo Unfiltered Nama
I had been looking forward to this one, but it was gorgeous but not quite what I expected.
Sparkling Red
Sake made with ancient rice. Sake level -70😳
A little koji-like, but sweet and sour.
Wooden Oke Brewing Ginjo
I wondered if only this sake was made in wooden vats, but it seems all the vats are made in wooden vats 😳Fruity dry taste
Kuropopularity Junmai Ginjo
This one also has a fruity dry taste.
I think the freshly squeezed one sold at Yodobashi a few years ago was better than the one I had this time 🤔.
Sparkling, sparkling sake. Light, slightly astringent and slightly acidic, with a strong flavor and a hint of mushrooms. Enjoy the smoothness and flavor at the end of the drink.
151st bottle
Popular sake brewery's naming sense👍.
I wonder if the rice malt is effective, the sweetness and sourness are a perfect match. Delicious 😋.
