With my college mentor over a hot drink. We used to see each other 2 or 3 times a year before the corona disaster, so it had been a really long time since we met again. I know it was inevitable because of the corona disaster, but I felt the passage of time. I wanted to cherish our encounters with people more. The most important thing was the hot sake with sushi. The best part was the gari and nori. The sushi was good, but I didn't expect the side dishes to go so well with the hot sake.

Jyuemon" by Toshimaya Shuzo, well-known for Yamori... it's a stone's throw away! Nakadori unfiltered raw sake, fresh and crisp... Hachitan-nishiki has a nice aroma... my favorite fruity flavor... and the mouthfeel... a good bitterness of sweetness and bitterness, followed by the sharpness of Hachitan-nishiki! It does not disappoint! I'm sure many people prefer this to Yamoru... I'm sipping it while grilling oysters... yummy!

Tonight's sake is Tokyo's Juemon Junmai Unfiltered Nama Sake 🍶. I went to the direct sales place of Toshimaya Shuzo, the brewery that makes Yamori, and asked about a sake with a great flavor, and they recommended it to me 😊. I was torn between the nama-shu and the hi-iru sake, but I bought the nama-shu and was told that "it is also delicious warmed up. He said "It's also good heated"... I tried it cold first... I took a sip and said "Delicious! 👀This is delicious! I couldn't help but say it twice 😆. It has an austere appearance like a grandfather ("Juemon" was the name of the founder of Toshimaya ^^;), but after the fresh acidity, it was deliciously spicy and snappy! According to the website, "Compared to Yamori, the aroma is relatively mild and can be enjoyed as a mid-meal sake. It certainly goes well with meals! Next, we tried heating it up... I was excited to try it, as I had never warmed a draft sake before, and the sapidity stood out, making it even fresher and lighter 🥰. It tasted different and more appealing than the Yamahai when heated ✨. With quickly seared Satsuma-age! (Sent to me by a relative in Ibaraki 😊)

Similar to Yamori, 100% Hachitanishiki and Miyagi yeast. The aroma is mildly fruity, with a thin hint of melon or pear, and when you taste it, you can enjoy the sweetness of honeyed banana on the tip of your tongue, with a grapefruit-like impact of acidity and lingering bitterness, and at the same time, you can taste the umami of a sake yeast, as well as a classic-style sake-like alcohol taste. Souvenir from a friend who went back home to Kanagawa 🍶. It's my first time in Tokyo 😁🎶. This product was created to commemorate the "Studio Ghibli Toshio Suzuki: The Magic of Words" exhibition, which will be held at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa from July 27 (Fri) to August 25 (Sat). The brand name "Toshimaya Juemon" is the name of the founder of Toshimaya Honten. The title of the label was written by Toshio Suzuki, and the draft of the seal was written by Hayao Miyazaki, the director of Studio Ghibli. It has a high alcohol content of 18 degrees 😃It is moderately dry and has a nice sharp taste ✨. My second son went back home for a memorial service ☺️Guests enjoyed it with shabu-shabu 😁🎶.
