Recently, I use Shinshu for one-day trip to Ueda, Chikuma, Shinonoi, Hakuba, and Itoigawa, because I can save the cost of expressway and gasoline.
And there is a sake shop, Kasuga, along the way 😀.
I took this one from Mr. Kasuga, too.
I think this is the third time I've tried Matsuo's sake, and I've never had a bad experience with any of them.
It's not glamorous, but it's a delicious sake that soaks in deeply.
It is not a classical sake, but an orthodox one, I guess.
I have another bottle of fire-brewed sake in stock, but I will let it sit for a while longer.

Taste & Aroma
It has an aroma of cemedine and ethanol. In the mouth, it is slightly fruity, slightly light, and dry, with little umami, acidity, or bitterness. After a little while, the aroma settles down and becomes mild, and the spiciness becomes more pronounced. It also has a stronger acidity and a little bitterness and umami, making it a refreshing drink.
My first sake "Matsuo" Junmai Ginjo White Label.
My wife bought it on the way home. The price was ¥1,400-.
It was unusual for my wife to choose a sake with the word "dry" at the edge of the label (she didn't seem to notice it).
I took a sip and wondered what it smelled like. I took a sip.
It wasn't so much dry as it was sensibly +1 or +2. It's quite tasty, isn't it?
On the second day, I tried heating it up, but it felt better.
It's good for cold nights.
Good morning, Jay & Nobby!
I don't actively buy dry sake, but I do like it "heated" during the cold season, so I always have some sake for that purpose 😊.
