Comparison of nigori sake from Wakayama's favorite brands (1)
We compared nigori sake from two of our favorite brands, Minakata and Chokyu.
First, let's start with Minakata 😄.
The first one has a fresh and fruity aroma like apples and a strong fizzy feeling. It has a full, sweet flavor and a crisp, refreshing taste, and is just as delicious as one would imagine 😍.
It's been quite a while since I've had Nanpo, but I don't remember it ever being out of place and I think it's a good brand with a high level of quality 😁.
Purchased at Miyukiya in Shingu City during a business trip to Wakayama.
While talking with the owner, he told me that he had a bottle of Minamikata Yamahai that is not currently in production, so he gave it to me.
What a 6 year old sake.
I wondered how much it had aged.
I poured it into a sake cup with a sense of excitement.
I was overwhelmed by the rich, matured flavor.
Of course, heated sake is also great.
However, I felt that once the sake had matured to this degree, the original appearance of the southern part of the bottle was completely lost.
Sake is a difficult thing to make.
